This walkthrough page for Dead Space Remake is about the Premeditated Malpractice side mission. Unlocking the side mission

You can unlock the side quest right after starting chapter 6 - Environmental Hazard, i.e. after using cryo freeze to stop the Hunter.

Stay in the Cryogenics location on the Medical Deck. In the central chamber where the Hunter was previously imprisoned (and where the liquid nitrogen was), you will find a Tissue Sample.

Scan Tissue Sample

You need to get to the DNA scanner - there is one on the Medical Deck. Your destination is level 1 of the Main Lab.

Once you get there, find the scanner (picture) and use it.

Find Harris's ICU Bed

This is another mission objective that you can also complete right away on the Medical Deck. Your destination is the Intensive Care Unit on level 4.

After reaching the unit, locate the damaged chamber and play the hologram recording.

Investigate Ore Storage

You can't do this objective right away since you need access to the Mining Deck. You have to advance to chapter 7 - Into the Void. After reaching the new deck for the first time, Isaac's journal will be updated - the game will inform you that you can continue the quest.

Ore Storage is on level 4 of Deck C - Mining. A yellow side mission icon will be visible on the map.

In the Ore Storage, you need to listen to the RIGlink message. This will update the mission objective.

Find Report on the Bridge

You must return to the tram and select Bridge as your destination. Then go to the Main Atrium.

The game will not indicate the exact location of the report. The interactive vertical terminal is in the northern part of the atrium (picture). Interacting with it will play a new hologram recording.

Investigate Hydroponics

Return to the tram and select Hydroponics as your destination. You need to reach the Diagnostics Lab on level 3. It is best to use the locator, because Hydroponics is quite a complex location.

On your way to the laboratory, you have to pass through the Nutrition Systems room - the entrance to it is shown in the picture. Watch out for Necromorphs and poison gas inside.

There is an audio log in the Diagnostics Lab (picture above). Listen to it to complete the side mission.

The rewards for completing the quest are:

1. Prototype Stasis Module - lies on the bench;
2. Final Regeneration trophy - you get it by learning the origin of the Hunter.
