The first boss in Dead Space Remake is the Brute encountered in chapter 4: Obliteration Imminent. On this page, you will learn how to prepare for the boss fight, how to stop Brute's charges and how to attack weak points on the monster's body. In addition, we write about other Brute fights later in the campaign.
Location of the first fight with Brute
Brute is the first boss in Dead Space Remake. The big monster will attack you in chapter 4 - Obliteration Imminent.
Isaac must first meet Hammond at the Captain's Nest on the Bridge. After the meeting, you will receive Security Clearance 2 and a mission objective to start the elevators.
Isaac must reach the Security Room located next to the Main Atrium. After approaching the door, it will be broken down by a Brute - the fight will begin.
Description of the boss fight
During this battle, the key move is to slow down the Brute with Stasis.
Try to have full Stasis before starting the encounter and if possible, have a Stasis Pack in your inventory. There is some loot in the atrium - scour the area before approaching the Security Room.
Look for weak points on the Brute's back . Each time you slow the brute down, quickly relocate behind it and fire at weak points with firearms. Fire away to deal as much damage as possible before Stasis wears off.
If your Stasis is depleted, wait for the monster to charge, dodge right before impact and aim quickly at weak points on the Brute's back.
Killing the Brute in chapter 4 is rewarded with the bronze Brute Force trophy.
Next fights with Brutes
Brutes also appear in later chapters and are treated as mini-bosses. When you notice a new Brute joining the fight, focus all your attention on it, because it can easily hit you when you are attacking other Necromorphs. As before, use stasis to stop the beast, get behind its back and attack its weak spots.
