Why stealth attacks don't kill enemies? Assassin's Creed Origins Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 27 October 2017
In Assassin's Creed: Origins, the main hero can perform stealth attacks on enemies, however, in the beginning of the game, these attacks won't kill them. You can notice that by the fact that an attacked person is still moving on a ground. This is perfectly normal and the reason for that is that Bayek doesn't have a hidden blade yet.
This doesn't have any impact on the game. Attacked enemies can't be picked up by their allies. The game itself treats these attacks as assassinations. It means that the game counts this attack as a successful kill, e.g. when you have to assassinate a captain to complete a fort (you don't have to kill him in an open conflict or by using a bow). The only difference is that an enemy attacked in this way can't be picked up and put somewhere else so you can lower a chance for causing an alarm.
This problem can be solved by making enough progress in the campaign. Continue the game until you start a quest called "Aya". Meet with the titular Aya in Alexandria and receive a hidden blade from her - this moment is presented in the picture. From now on, assassinations work as always - Bayek kills his enemies when he approaches them from behind or jumps down on them from a rooftop.
