Last update: 07 November 2017
In this page you can find all side quests that you can start in Siwa. You should do them in the beginning of the game (levels 1-5) because they offer you a lot of XP. This will help you in developing Bayek. Each description contains an information about how to unlock a given side quest, its walkthrough and rewards for completing it.
Gear Up
Suggested level: 2
How to unlock: Complete The Oasis main quest.
Rewards: 500 XP, breastplate upgrade.
The goal of this quest is to upgrade Bayek's breastplate. Gather necessary materials. Send Senu to scout an area around Siwa and search for wild animals that can give you Soft Leather - example in the picture. Hunt them (these animals are probably gazelles) - use your bow or chase them on your mount and use melee weapon. Collect 5 Soft Leathers, open inventory, find the breastplate and upgrade it (you will get more health points). Other upgrades are up to you.
Water Rats
Suggested level: 3
How to unlock: Examine the table with missions after you complete The Oasis main quest or reach the cave with bandits.
Rewards: 600 XP.
Kett (presented in the picture) stands near the entrance to Amanai Cave. He tells you about bandits that took over a spring. You must kill all bandits that are in the cave (they are at level 2-3). You can kill them stealthy (preferably during a night with your bow or by using stealth attacks) or in an open conflict (try to attack them one after another). Besides that, you can also do something extra and search 3 treasure chests that are hidden somewhere in the cave.
Family Reunion
Suggested level: 2
How to unlock: Examine the table with missions after you complete The Oasis main quest or reach the imprisoned farmers.
Rewards: 600 XP.
You must rescue Teremun and other captured farmers. They are held in a cage located in north-east part of Temple of Amun. Use Senu to find them (the picture above). Before you enter the hostile area, you should perform a full recon and scan all guards. You should also try to save the farmers during a night. Reach the cage and open it. Teremun is dead which means that you must take his body to a farm located south from the city. Avoid any confrontations with guards but if you must face them, you should put the body on the ground. Put Teremun's corpse into the same tent in which you can find corpses of the rest of his family.
Striking the Anvil
Suggested level: 3
How to unlock: Speak with a blacksmith.
Rewards: 500 XP, a weapon that you can choose, unlocked interaction option with a blacksmith.
The blacksmith tells you that he can't work until he gets his tools back. You must infiltrate Camp Shetjeh in Siwa (preferably during a night and after you scout the area with Senu). The item that you are looking for, the Bag of Blacksmithing Tools, is inside one of chests in the tents (the picture). Take the bag to the blacksmith. As your reward you can choose a light bow, a shield or a mace (stats of those items are adjusted to Bayek's current level and the weapons are of rare quality). From now on you can trade with the blacksmith and upgrade your weapons.
The Healer
Suggested level: 3
How to unlock: Speak with Rabiah.
Rewards: 600 XP, legendary trinket.
Rabiah needs Bayek's help in finding jars with medicaments that sank along with a boat. Use Senu and scout the area to locate the quest items that are on a bottom of a huge water body (an example is presented in the picture). The jars can be collected in any order. Find three Medicine jars and take them to House of Life. Rabiah asks Bayek to eliminate the soldiers that occupy that place. The enemies are at level 2. You can eliminate them stealthy (use your bow, perform stealth kills, work at night) or in an open conflict. Clear the House of Life and go back to Rabiah to receive your reward.
Hideaway
Suggested level: 3 (4 is more suitable)
How to unlock: Speak with Fenuku near an entrance to a Tomb.
Rewards: 500 XP, 1 ability point for examining a tablet in the Tomb.
Fenuku tells you that his brother is missing. Go to Mountain of the Dead Tomb and search for the missing brother. Enter the location and use your melee weapon on a wall presented in the picture. Speak with Chenzira who can't get out of the adjacent room.
?
Reach the room with a cage and move the object. But first you must destroy a vase that lies on the right. Jump down into the room with Chenzira. Examine the tablet located here and get 1 ability point. Then, you must go through a corridor that allows you to exit the Tomb (presented in the picture). Prepare yourself because after leaving the Tomb you will be attacked by a pack of hyenas (they are at level 4). Kill them one by one. Killing all hostile animals ends this quest.
Prisoners in the Temple
Suggested level: 4
How to unlock: Automatically after saving one of the prisoners.
Rewards: 500 XP.
The prisoners are located in Temple of Amun. Reach one of them (an example is presented in the picture). This adds the quest to your journal. The temple itself should be infiltrated at night. You should also remember to kill the guards stealthy. Use Senu to locate both the prisoners and the guards. You must save 5 prisoners in total and the game marks the locations of the four remaining ones after you start the quest. Reach them in any order.
Bayek's Promise
Suggested level: 5
How to unlock: Automatically after reaching one of the Stone Circles.
Rewards: 3000 XP.
This quest can be started in any location with a Stone Circle. There is 12 of them in total and the first Circle is found in Siwa in the beginning of the game. Each of the Circles require you to interact with it and match a pattern with the one on the sky (you can rotate a pattern and move camera in all directions). After that you can see a short animation (an example is presented in the picture). Completing each of the puzzles gives you a little bit of experience (for completing a location) but if you want to get 3000 XP, you must visit all 12 Stone Circles.
