Combat in Assassin's Creed Origins How to fight? - Assassin's Creed Origins Game Guide

Last update: 10 November 2017

Assassin's Creed: Origins changed the series' combat rules. Our hero has access to a hidden blade, bows, swords and heavy weapons. The last three categories are divided into 3 types:

  1. Gold - legendary,
  2. Purple - rare,
  3. Blue - common.

In addition to that our hero can also use a shield which protects him from enemy attacks.

Each weapon has some traits, e.g. "resistance to ranged attacks" or "adrenaline regeneration". Keep that in mind when you choose your weapons. Select them accordingly to your play style. If you use Overpower attacks frequently then a weapon that regenerates adrenaline would be the best for you.

Hidden Blade

In this installment, a hidden blade kills only those enemies that have a much lower level than you. If an enemy has a higher level, you will take only a few of his health points.

Ineffectiveness of this weapon means that you will frequently participate in combat. If you prefer to kill your enemies quietly then you should think about using a bow.

Health

Your health regenerates by itself. You must be in a place where no one can attack you and wait a moment. This will regenerate your health points. Regeneration, which is a part of Warrior skill tree, can be bought with ability points. It allows you to restore health during combat.

Bows are divided into 4 categories - Combat in Assassins Creed Origins - Basics - Assassins Creed Origins Guide

Bow

Bows are divided into 4 categories:

  1. Light - a fast bow that is useful for attacking a single enemy or while you are riding your mount,
  2. Predator - quiet and precise, good for eliminating your enemies stealthy,
  3. Warrior - can shoot a few arrows at the same time.
  4. Hunter - perfect for stealth kills.

Naval Combat

During some of the missions you will be able to command a ship crew. You can use 3 attacks - fire arrows, a catapult and fire bombs. The crew also use shields to defend themselves.
