How can I change a time of a day and why should I do that? Assassin's Creed Origins Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 27 October 2017
Assassin's Creed: Origins features a full day and night cycle. A current time of a day isn't only symbolic. It can make missions easier or more difficult, the same goes for exploring locations occupied by enemies.
- During a day, guards are always more vigilant and each one of them guards a specific post. Because of that their elimination (especially by using stealth attacks) can be more problematic.
- During a night, many enemies go to rest. This can be very helpful because you can come across fewer foes while you are approaching your target destination. What is more, sleeping enemies can be easily killed with a stealth attack (the picture) even when there are a few people sleeping next to each other.
However, you don't have to always wait for a night because you can use one of Bayek's abilities called Dawn & Dusk which is presented in the picture above (Seer tree skill). You can unlock this ability right from the beginning and purchase it for only 1 ability point.
From now on you can hold the map button - Bayek starts to meditate and the game speeds up time. After 1 or 2 uses it will be night. You can now sneak to your destination easier. Dawn & Dusk has an unlimited amount of uses (but you can't be attacked while using it) and activating it 30 times will reward you with "Namaste" trophy.
