Why my hidden blade didn't kill an enemy? Hidden blade in Assassin's Creed Origins Guide
Last update: 06 November 2017
In Assassin's Creed: Origins, the basic use of a hidden blade is to perform stealth kills on enemies. However, here, its efficiency depends on an enemy's level. This is important for foes that have a much higher level than yours. They are not only bosses but also "regular" guards that are marked with a skull icon (an example is presented in the picture) - those, that have a much higher level than Bayek.
There is a good chance that you can fail an attempt at killing that enemy with a hidden blade (an example in the picture). A guard stops your attack and you will have to face him (the best solution is to use a smoke bomb and run away).
The problem with a hidden blade that doesn't "work" properly can be solved in two ways:
- Develop your character so his level becomes similar to the one of the guard that you want to kill.
- Upgrade your hidden blade in the inventory screen (an example is presented in the picture). Use crafting materials to upgrade this weapon (more tips for collecting materials can be found in "How to get materials for crafting?" chapter). Your current (and estimated) hidden blade damage is displayed in the bottom left corner. However, upgrading your hidden blade is not enough (you still have to level up) but it lowers a chance of a failed attack performed on a stronger enemy.
