In this page you can find all side quests that you can start in Iment Nome and Lake Mareotis. You should explore these provinces in the beginning of the game (at level 6-8) before you visit Alexandria. Each description contains an information about how to unlock a given side quest, its walkthrough and rewards for completing it.

Hidden Tax

Suggested level: 6

How to unlock: Speak with a woman.

Rewards: 600 XP.

A woman asks Bayek to find her missing husband, Klaudios. You must head east towards a vantage point located on a small island. Steal any of the boats that are near the shore. Use Senu to find Klaudios. You learn that he is on a small stone ledge where he hides from crocodiles.

You must get rid of the animals - you can attack them with your bow (an example in the picture), swim towards them and use your melee weapon or "convince" them to follow Bayek on an island. Regardless of your method you should attack them one by one. After that you can swim with a boat to Klaudios, speak with him and wait until the man gets on a boat. Head towards the village where his wife is. Watch a cut-scene and face a few thugs. Defeat them and speak with Klaudios again.

Ambush in the Temple

Suggested level: 6

How to unlock: Automatically after getting closer to Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu.

Rewards: 900 XP.

Meet with Menehet in the temple and explore it with him. Watch a cut-scene. After that you must locate four children. Use Senu to scout the area and mark current locations of the children (they may not stay in the same place). Reach them in any order. Keba, who hides in a well, is the most problematic one. You must destroy a wall to reveal an alternate entrance to the well (presented in the picture). You should also prepare to face a lone hyena during your searches. Find the children and go back to Menehet.

Ulterior Votive

Suggested level: 7

How to unlock: Automatically after completing Ambush in the Temple side quest.

Rewards: 600 XP.

Speak with Menehet again in Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu. Go to the market and start asking the merchants about the false icons. The person that you are looking for is the merchant presented in the picture. He asks you to meet him in a secluded place during a night (wait or unlock Dawn & Dusk ability which allows you to change a time of a day freely). Go to the meeting place and wait for the merchant. He sends 7 bandits to attack Bayek (they are at level 7). Defeat them in combat and speak with the merchant once again.

You must now go to Eremous Hideout located in south-east part of the city. You should go there at night - most of the enemies are sleeping which means that you can kill them with ease. Your task is to destroy all caches with false icons. Use Senu to locate them (one of the caches is presented in the picture). Complete this objective and return to Menehet.

Lady of Slaughter

Suggested level: 8

How to unlock: Automatically after completing Ulterior Votive side quest.

Rewards: 800 XP, Sekhmet Costume.

Speak with Menehet in Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu. Use Senu to located Pamu. Go to him, pick up and take to the temple. Speak with the priest about being Pamu's replacement for the upcoming honorable duel. Enter the arena and face Isfet (level 7). He is one of the easiest bosses in the game. Dodge his attacks and search for a chance to hurt him. You should also use Overpower attacks when you get a chance. If you received too much damage, you can move away from the boss and wait for Bayek's health to regenerate. Win the fight and complete the quest.

The Book of the Dead

Suggested level: 8

How to unlock: Speak with an old man.

Rewards: 600 XP.

An old man in Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu asks Bayek to retrieve the titular Book of the Dead which is currently in bandits' possession. Their camp is located in Necropolis Bandit Hideout in Iment Nome province. You should sneak to their camp at night because some of the bandits will be sleeping. This allows you to enter the cave without any problems (but you should still send Senu to scout the area before you enter the bandits' camp). The Book of the Dead is located in the place presented in the picture. Go back to Yamu and speak with the quest giver's daughter. You must go to the place where the old man's corpse is.

Birthright

Suggested level: 9

How to unlock: Automatically after finding a corpse.

Rewards: 600 XP.

This quest starts after you find a few corpses in Temple of Sekhmet in Yamu. Speak about them with the person that preserves corpses. You must go to Iras' farm located north-east from the village. There, you can find a group of bandits. You should defeat them stealthy - wait until night and kill them. After that Iras will stop hiding.

You must go to Lakeside Villa Outpost located north from the farm. The villa's terrains are roamed by stronger and better trained enemies (level 8). Use rooftops to avoid detection. Your goal is to find a letter presented in the picture above.

Another objective is to kill Sophronios who stays in Alexandria. You must find him in the north-west part of the city. Use Senu to locate him. You should go to his mansion during a night because the target will be sleeping (the picture above). However, even then he is accompanied by, at least, one guard so be prepared to act quickly when the target tries to escape. If you want to work during a day then you can kill Sophronios while he is roaming his terrains and then quickly escape. His death ends the quest.

Taste of Her Sting

Suggested level: 17

How to unlock: Automatically after examining one of the places of bloody rituals.

Rewards: 3750 XP.

Note - You don't have to wait until you reach level 17-18 and then unlock the quest. You should only postpone the last part of the quest in which you must face a few strong enemies.

This quest can be unlocked in a few ways because it is connected to places where bloody rituals took place (they are found in various parts of the world).

If you are visiting the provinces in the order suggested by the game then your first murder scene should be on a small island in south-east part of Lake Mareotis province. This place is presented in the picture and the location itself is near Lost Crypt. You must find (use Animus Pulse) and examine all traces (those that are "hidden better" are near the water).

Another place of a bloody ritual is in Sapi-Res Nome province, near Sapi-Res Ruins. Find and examine all tracks (one of them is a corpse that lies on a bottom which means that you must dive).

Another murder scene is located in north-east part of Kanopos Nome province - the place is presented in the pictures. Find and examine all tracks. Some of them are in a small cave (squeeze between rocks) and some are near a statue on a hill.

The last, fourth, murder scene is located in east part of Kanopos Nome, near a crocodile lair (the picture above). The animals can attack you during your investigation so be prepared.

After examining all four ritual scenes you can check a ruined temple in Ka-Khem Nome province. Be sure that Bayek is strong enough before you go there. The temple has a few new tracks that you must examine.

Find all tracks in the temple. Then, you must search for an entrance to a cave located south-east from this place - the entrance is presented in the picture (Senu can be helpful here). Go through the entire cave and reach cultists' base. After a short conversation you must face them. The most dangerous one is the cultist with which you spoke earlier (level 18). Killing them completes the quest. You can also check a corpse that was prepared for a new ritual and find chests with random valuable items.
