How to infiltrate forts in Assassin's Creed Origins? Game Guide

Last update: 27 October 2017

Forts are one of the more commonly found locations in Assassin's Creed: Origins. Here, you can find tips that can help you infiltrate them and reduce a risk of losing life during their exploration.

Important note - Many of the forts are visited during some of the quests. You don't have to explore them immediately after reaching a new region because this can force you to infiltrate the same fort a few times.

You should prepare yourself before infiltrating each of the forts - How to infiltrate forts in Assassins Creed Origins? - FAQ - Assassins Creed Origins Guide

You should prepare yourself before infiltrating each of the forts. One of the most important information is that guards inside of a fort are more vigilant during a day. You should try to attack forts at night. Dawn & Dusk ability is very useful here (the picture above). This skill only costs 1 ability point and you can get it right after starting the game. This ability allows you to speed up time. Use it to infiltrate all forts at night.

Another issue connected to preparations is to determine what kind of fort you want to attack. In the beginning, you only come across small forts in which you must, e.g. kill 1 captain or find 1 treasure chest. However, in the later parts of the game you will come across much bigger forts. In order to "capture" them you may have to, e.g. kill 2 captains and 1 commander. You must decide whether you want to accept a challenge or you want to leave it for later.

The last phase of your preparations is very important - you must scout a fort by using Senu - How to infiltrate forts in Assassins Creed Origins? - FAQ - Assassins Creed Origins Guide

The last phase of your preparations is very important - you must scout a fort by using Senu. Don't underestimate this step because without that you can easily come across a guard which, in turn, will alarm everyone. Always remember to use Senu to mark all enemies and chests that are in your sight.

The best way to reach a fort is to climb a wall or to jump from a roof of one of neighbor houses - How to infiltrate forts in Assassins Creed Origins? - FAQ - Assassins Creed Origins Guide

The best way to reach a fort is to climb a wall or to jump from a roof of one of neighbor houses. Don't use any of the main gates because even during nights they are guarded by, at least, one soldier.

Inside, you must remember to sneak all the time and use information about locations of your enemies that you got thanks to Senu. Eliminate your enemies by using stealth kills or a bow - if you chose the second option then you should remember to aim at their heads and make sure that one arrow is enough to kill them. If you are following the previous advice (infiltrating forts at night) then you can find many guards sleeping (an example in the picture). You can kill them easily because they are completely defenseless.

During your exploration of the fort you should focus on those activities that can help you in completing a given location - How to infiltrate forts in Assassins Creed Origins? - FAQ - Assassins Creed Origins Guide

During your exploration of the fort you should focus on those activities that can help you in completing a given location. Use information that you got during your reconnaissance - this will allow you to learn location of all or most of mission targets. If you need to find one more chest, you can use Animus Pulse to locate that object when you are in a fort.

When you finish all fort activities and complete a location (an example is presented in the picture), leave a fort or eliminate the rest of the guards to get additional XP.

However, if you, despite all your effort, were caught you can act in two ways - escape from a fort and return here later or fight with enemies - How to infiltrate forts in Assassins Creed Origins? - FAQ - Assassins Creed Origins Guide

However, if you, despite all your effort, were caught you can act in two ways - escape from a fort and return here later or fight with enemies. The second option is recommended only if you got rid of most of the guards in a fort by using stealth kills and the remaining ones have low levels. This will make them easier to defeat.

After raising an alarm, enemies can try to call for reinforcements. They can do that by using bonfires. Try to stop a person that runs to a bonfire (you will receive a warning informing you about that). You can also try to sabotage bonfires (an example in the picture). Thanks to that they can explode when one of enemies will try to set them on fire.

Warning - In some forts, you can come across prisoners that are kept in cages. You shouldn't free them until you complete a location because they can be noticed during escape which, in turn, may raise an alarm.
