Subnautica: Underwater Islands - biome guide Subnautica Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 27 March 2021
This biome is located to the north. It's relatively small and borders with Mushroom Forest, Mountains, Kelp Forest, Grassy Plateaus and Blood Kelp zone. The whole area is a group of small, submerged islands, which can be found at depths between 70 and 300 meters. The bottom of the biome reaches 500 meters.
The islands are most probably parts of a single, large landmass, as they are very similar when it comes to flora and available resources. They contain large volumes of schist and sandstone. Additionally, one of the islands contains a hydrothermal zone. The entire area is rather flat, so if you plan to establish a base in this region, this would be the spot to do it. You'll also find a wreck stuck between two islands.
When it comes to dangers, your only problem may come in the form of Bonesharks. They are common in this biome. That said it's a type of predator that won't attack you, unless you come very close.
Underwater Islands are not the safest zone, but not a particularly dangerous one either, featuring few unique organisms. The biome is a good source of basic resources, but you can also find them in virtually any other biome. One thing to find in this area is the wreck.
