Subnautica Below Zero: Frequent questions and problems
Last update:
Not all questions regarding the gameplay of Subnautica: Below Zero require lengthy explanation. This chapter focuses on these minor questions.
- Where should I go after the path to the base collapses?
- Where is the base in the ocean?
- Where can I find Ribbon Plant?
- Where can I find Sanctuary Zero?
- Can you build a body for Al-An?
Where should I go after the path to the base collapses?
You start the game on the surface. A storm destroys the path from the base to the alien constructions. This collapse unlocks a path behind the aliens' statue (see the picture below).
Where is the base in the ocean?
After leaving the island and getting into the ocean, you have to wait for your base. It won't appear right after you start the game. Wait for the information about the drop.
Where can I find Ribbon Plant?
One of the caves where you can find a Ribbon Plant.
Ribbon Plant is an important resource. You need it to craft batteries. These plants grow inside small caves located in shallow parts of the ocean. Ribbon Plants are glowing so you shouldn't have problems with spotting them.
Where can I find Sanctuary Zero?
At some point of Subnautica: Below Zero, you will be informed that you have to go to the Sanctuary Zero. However, this place won't appear on your map - you have to find it yourself.
The Sanctuary is at a depth of approximately 200 meters. The passage to that location is in Twisty Bridges. Follow the alien constructions, and you will reach a cave. Swim through it - you will find the passage to the Sanctuary Zero. This location has oxygen, you don't have to worry that you will run out of it.
Can you build a body for Al-An?
Currently the resources needed to create a new body for Al-An are not present in game. You can only create them using the console.
