Subnautica: Blood Kelp Zone - biome guide
Last update:
The second Blood Kelp biome. Compared to Blood Kelp Caves, it's much bigger, with formations of Blood Kelps growing on small underwater islands.
When it comes to resources, this biome is very similar to Blood Kelp Caves. This means it features large amounts of shale, quartz, Blood Oil, Magnetite, and Uraninite crystals. Additionally, you can also find Gel Sacks.
This biome is extremely dangerous, featuring numerous hostile life forms, the worst of which is the Ghost Leviathan. Additionally, you'll also encounter Crabsquids, organisms capable of shutting down your power supply for a short moment. If you intend to establish a base here, look for a place the Crabsquids avoid. Otherwise, you'll be experiencing a lot of blackouts.
The zone offers similar resources as Blood Kelp Caves, which makes it worthy of your attention. The problem is, it's much more dangerous here. If you need to gather resources, it's better to go down to the caves.
