A biome located under the Lost River, with depths reaching 1300 meters. It's a zone that cannot be reached in the Seamoth. The whole area is covered by congealed lava, with occasional appearances of liquid lava.

The zone is devoid of any significant appearances of flora, the only species being the Deep Shroom - Subnautica: Inactive Lava Zone - biome guide - Biomes - Subnautica Game Guide

The zone is devoid of any significant appearances of flora, the only species being the Deep Shroom. There are several resources in this zone, such as quartz, diamond, or Nickel. Most importantly, though, there are deposits of Kyanite and Crystalline Sulfur in this area, not present in any of the shallower zones. You'll also find another alien structure here.

This zone is very dangerous. The area is full of Warpers, hostile Lava Lizards, and Lava Larvae. The latter are small organisms that feed on electric power. Once they attach themselves to your vehicle, they will start draining your batteries. If you do not get rid of them quickly, they will suck your batteries dry. Additionally, a Sea Dragon Leviathan is patrolling the entrance to Lava Lakes in the central part of this biome.
