Jellyshrooms are the main element of the caves' ecosystem.

The whole area is covered by Jellyshrooms. They sport distinct holes at the top of their caps. The holes provide habitat for Crabsnakes, which are hostile. Watch out for them when approaching a Jellyshroom, especially if the place is too tight to use the Cyclops. Additionally, you may find Sand Sharks in this biome.

The biome is rich in resources, including sandstone and shale. It also provides a source of Magnetite, closest one available from the starting location. Come here if you need it without much trouble.

It's a useful zone, providing easy access to Magnetite, a resource required to upgrade your scanners. The biome also contains an abandoned base, where you can acquire some technologies. If you have a bioreactor to provide you with power, there's one more reason to come to this area: Jellyshrooms are a decent fuel.
