On this page of the guide to Resident Evil Village, you will find a walkthrough of the prologue, which is set in the home of Ethan, Mia, and Rose. The following soluion includes both mandatory and optional steps to take when going through the prologue.

Mia will ask the main character to put Rose to sleep. You can immediately start fulfilling Ethan wife's wish and reach the stairs leading to the floor of the house, or optionally look around the first floor first.

There are several Files to be found in Mia and Ethan's house. Collecting them is optional, though required if you plan on completing 100% of the game. We have listed the files located in the main character's house on the page related to the prologue in the Secrets and Collectables section.

Upstairs, you can focus on getting Rose to her crib and putting her to sleep, or taking an extra look around the neighborhood. You'll find new documents, a photo album and an interactive music box, among others.

In order to complete the prologue, you must return to the first floor and talk to Mia, she's in the kitchen. There will be a few important cut-scenes, and after watching them, you will automatically move to a completely new location – the forest adjacent to the abandoned village.
