Last update: 14 June 2021
This page of the Resident Evil Village game guide contains a walkthrough of floor B3 of the Heisenberg's Factory - Manufacturing. In this guide you will learn, among other things, how to defeat the Soldat Jet supersoldiers, how to unlock the elevator in the factory and how to stop the big blade in Grinder Shaft.
Additional note - The following walkthrough focuses on the main floor of B3, but you will also briefly visit other floors along the way (including MB3). These are also described in our walkthrough.
- Using the Lift Controls
- Exploring floor B3 - Manufacturing
- Fighting the Soldat Jet supersoldiers
- Turning off the big blade in the Grinder Shaft
Using the Lift Controls
The area where you will be able to start exploring the main rooms of floor B3 (Manufacturing) of the factory is pictured in the images above. This is the Lift Controls panel, which you can interact with after starting the Backup Generator on level B4.
Before you continue your journey, you might also consider going back to level MB4 to the passage marked in picture no. 1 - there is a Switch button which you can press now thanks to the restored power supply.
Expect to encounter a Soldat, who will break through the wall. After getting rid of the supersoldier, you can reach the optional stash from picture no. 2, including the most valuable find - a magnum modification known as the M1851 Wolfsbane Long Barrel, which increases the firepower of the revolver. This will come in very handy when fighting some of the bosses later in the game.
Exploring floor B3 - Manufacturing
As you make your way through the new rooms of floor B3, expect to encounter a Soldat with a core on their back. It's a good idea to wait for them to come near the electric devices, as they can be used to electrocute the supersoldier. This will enable you to run away or easily shoot at the reactor on their back.
The hallways will lead you to a new door with 5 electronic locks. If the Soldat is still active, it's a good idea to use the pistol to quickly damage the locks.
Once again, you have to start running away from the Sturm machine, which isn't very difficult - just reach the opposite end of the corridor and interact with the gate to end the mini-chase.
You will reach the great central hall of the factory again, only this time you will end up on a higher floor. Approach the elevator shaft shown in the picture. You can use the lever to call the elevator. This will allow you to trade with Duke and travel freely between floors B3 and B4.
Stay on floor B3 and take interest in the nearby ladder. The linear path will lead you to a small cave system and it's a good idea to explore the side paths to collect more loot. While doing so, watch out for the usual monsters, which you can kill or run away from.
In the last cavern, you will find the entrance to a ventilation shaft. Along the way, you'll come across another Crumbling Wall and if you choose to destroy it, you'll find some treasures. Ultimately, you must reach the gate leading to the Grinder Shaft.
Fighting the Soldat Jet supersoldiers
You must use the metal balconies and gradually head towards the giant working blade. For the first time, you will encounter on your way the Soldat Jet supersoldiers, whose jetpacks are their unique feature. The Jetpacks allow the Soldats to fly around. They can't remain airborne for long, but unfortunately they can quickly approach Ethan or land behind his back.
It might be a good idea to place mines on the balconies to reduce the risk of being surprised by one of the Soldats.
When fighting the Jet Soldats, aim at the reactors on their chests, of course. Watch out when the red laser beam appears (example in the attached image) as it signals the supersoldier's incoming charge attack. React quickly by running past the Soldat (they won't have time to change the direction of the charge) or by moving away/dodging sideways and away from the planned route of the charge.
Turning off the big blade in the Grinder Shaft
Your task is to reach the top of the Grinder Shaft, but a large working blade will get in the way of this plan. In order to neutralize this problem you must find and shoot the red reactors - an example is shown in the picture. Position yourself at different angles under the working blade to find subsequent red dots.
Once the giant blade is disabled, you will be able to use the previously unavailable ladder. This will allow you to reach floor B2 - Electrical.
