Beast is the only character and potential companion (if you didn't select him as your main hero) that represents Dwarves. He can be found on a beach west from Fort Joy - he hides near a shipwreck. In this chapter, you can find information about the character itself, classes that are available to it (along with their descriptions) as well as a recommended class if you want to choose Beast as your main character or a companion.
Recommended classes for Beast
Beast works great as:
- Battlemage - his default class and the best choice for that character. Battlemage fights with two weapons which give him additional bonus to Dodge (thanks to Dual Wielding ability) and this works perfectly with his Sturdy talent which increases his health and chances for Dodge. This class also makes it easier to use Petrifying Touch ability because it works only at a short range.
- Rogue, Shadowblade, Ranger or Wayfarer - usually, these classes require to deal as much damage as possible, however, in the case of this character, they also get increased chance for Dodge and more health points (thanks to Sturdy talent) which eliminates their biggest flaw. Another additional plus is Dwarven Guile talent which grants bonuses to Sneaking ability.

Classes available for Beast
Beast has access to 14 classes which are described in the table below. In case of a class that is for a player (if you want your main character to be Beast) you can freely modify his starting abilities and attributes. However, if you choose a class for him as your companion then you can't change anything.
