3. Cloisterwood - The place of the second meeting with the Lich
4. Cloisterwood - The place of the third meeting with the Lich
In Mordus' [1] basement you can find a head hanging on a wall. Interact with it. You notice that it lacks one eye.
You can find it in The Wreckers Cave [2]. In the chamber, adjacent to the one where you met with Mordus, you can find a hatch. You can open it by using Mordus's Amulet. There, you find a body with the missing eye.
Go back to the basement in Mordus' house and open the hidden passage. It will lead you to a room with platforms and another door. Use Spirit Vision ability so you can see symbols that can allow you to open the door. The correct sequence is:
1000
0010
1010
0100
Where "1" is for a pressed plate. The solution can also be found in the picture below.
This opens door to a chamber where you can find an imprisoned Lich. Speak with him and you will learn that he was trapped by Mordus. You can decide what you want to do with the Lich.
Choice 1: Kill the Lich
If you want to kill the Lich you must attack him when he lies tied down to the table. By doing that you save him and now you can face the Lich along with the rest of Undead.
Reward: 13550 experience points
Choice 2: Free the Lich
If you decide to free the Lich then you must press the right button on a console.
It doesn't matter which button you pressed because you will always be attacked by a group of Undead. If you pressed the green button then you freed Lich who can now help you in the fight. After that, he will leave the dungeons.
Reward: A skill book from a given school
You can find Lich again in Cloisterwood [3], near a massacred caravan. He will feast on humans. Speak with Lich again and make another decision about his fate.
Choice 1: Kill the Lich
You can kill the Lich. He is more powerful than before and he also summons Undead Dwarves that can fight on his side. The quest ends with his death.
Reward: 18750 experience points
Choice 2: Let the Lich go
You can spare his life yet again. After that he goes back to eating his victims. If you speak with him you can give the Lich a Source Point. This makes him travel to a different place immediately.
Reward: 4175 experience points
If you spared his life twice then you must confront with the Lich for the last time. This time, he is near a plinth in Cloisterwood [4] near the place where you met with Hannag. There, you must make your final decision.
Choice 1: Kill the Lich
You can kill the Lich. He is even more powerful than before. He also summons four Parasitic Hearts. Killing him ends this quest.
Reward: 18750 experience points
Choice 2: Let the Lich go
You can spare his life for the last time. In order to do that you must offer him a bit of your blood. He then goes his way and, as a thank you, he leaves a chest with items.
Reward: 4175 experience points + content of the chest
