Hope County Jail in Hembane River Far Cry 5 Guide and Walkthrough

The arrest in Hope County Jail is one of the most important initial feature missions of Far Cry 5. It consists in supporting allies from the title prison in the Henbane River area. Successful completion of this task will unlock you the access to many missions, as well as allowing you to easily visit different traders. Details of the first visit in the prison are given in the following walkthrough below.

The prison in Hope County is still visible on the map of the Henbane River (pass the prologue of the game on the Dutcha Island). When you get closer to this location, you will notice that there are fights going on here. Help your allies in securing this area.

A longer battle will start when a short cut-scene is displayed. You can lead it while remaining in the parking lot surrounding the jail or climb the walls of the jail and attack your enemies with the use of a sniper rifle. Look for an opportunity to blow up cars, packed with enemies, before they stop next to the jail.

Since the beginning of the mission, the main gate's energy bar is visible on the screen, but even if it gets destroyed (destroy an incoming fuel tank to prevent it from happening), the mission will not end in a failure. You just have to be more careful and don't get surprised. In the final part of the task, you will receive an objective to destroy three trucks with loudspeakers. It's worth dealing with them quickly to stop the respawn of new enemies intoxicated with the Bliss drug. To destroy pick-ups, use e.g. a rocket launcher (you may find it in one of the guard towers in prison - the screenshot above), explosives or a heavy machine gun.
