Gearing Up in Whitetail Mountains Far Cry 5 Guide and Walkthrough

Gearing Up is one of the main quests in Far Cry 5 available in Whitetail Mountains. You have to help Wheaty find prepper stashes and retrieve their treasures.
Lookout Tower and the first cabin
This mission can only be started after you meet with the resistance members in the Wolf's Den in Whitetail Mountains. You don't have to search for this hideout. You reach that place automatically after completing The World is Weak main quest. Speak with Wheaty.
Head to Jefferson Lookout Tower. It is located on top of a tall hill and the easiest way to get there is to climb while using the Grappling Hook on interactive points. Enter the tower and find the map with prepper stashes marked on it.
The first stash is in Cooper Cabin. There are a few enemies near that location. Try to defeat them with stealth attacks. Use the basement entrance presented in the picture to reach the stash. Find the golden case and take it.
The second cabin
The second stash is in Redtail Cabin. Here, you also have to defeat a few cultists. The stash is inside the bunker. The picture above shows its entrance hatch. Find the golden case on one of the beds.
The third cabin
There is one more stash. Go to Kestrel Cabin. The stash is in the possession of the enemy on ATV. Try to shoot him before he drives away. If he managed to escape then reach the cabin, get on an ATV and start chasing this enemy. Kill him with a sidearm and collect the prepper stash.
You can now go back to the Wolf's Den and speak with Wheaty.
Rewards for completing this mission: free supplies in Wolf's Den, 600 resistance points.
