Clinical Study in Far Cry 5 Far Cry 5 Guide and Walkthrough

Clinical Study is the second story mission of Far Cry 5, linked to Dr. Charles Lindsey. Its initial part revolves around the tests of a new type of bait. The second part, which forces us to hunt down two skunks and three grizzly bears, is a somewhat more difficult. Our walkthrough contains detailed information on how to find these wild animals and how to get their hides.
Killing the cultists on "angel" farm
This quest becomes available only after the Doctors Orders story mission has been completed. You have to meet Dr. Charles Lindsey again, this time in Hope County jail, and receive a batch of Test Bait.
The doctor orders you to carry out the experiment while remaining undetected, so equip yourself with a silenced rifle, choose a good partner for this mission e.g. the puma Peaches, and drive to Pepper Residence. You must get rid of the cultists without attacking or alerting the "angels" (enemies under the influence of Bliss), shown on the above picture. It is best to perform a reconnaissance from the top of the hill first and send Peaches to eliminate subsequent enemies. You can also sneak past them yourself or kill them with (accurate) shots from a silenced weapon.
Placing the bait
The next step is to sneak into the place where you're supposed to place the bait. Once again, you must avoid being detected by angels, so move around them at a safe distance and remain crouched.
After the bait is in place, reach the roof of the building (use the ladder). Fights between angels, skunks and cultists will soon break out. You can join them if you wish (you don't have to remain hidden anymore) or watch them kill each other while munching on popcorn, and simply take care of those that remain standing. After the battle, listen to a message from Lindsey. You will learn about the need to acquire new animal skins.
Acquiring skunk skins
It is a very simple task, because skunks took part in the battle on the farm. If there are still any skunks left in this location, attack them quickly before they leave. If the skunks are no longer alive, find them and get 2 skunk skins.
If all the skunks already left, you'll simply have to find any fishery on the world map and hunt them down yourself.
Acquiring grizzly bear skins
This objective of the mission is a bit more difficult. You can reach the game's recommended fishery (press the map key after receiving the information on the screen) or visit any other fishery. An example hunting spot, shown in the picture above, is located in the Whitetail Mountains near the Jefferson Lookout Tower.
Before you go hunting a grizzly bear, remember the hints from the Hunting wild animals page in our guide. Above all, it's worth taking your dog, Boomer, with you to help you find the bears. If you have problems locating them, move to another fishery. You can also help yourself by using bait. Each time a bait is scattered, a random predator appears in the area, possibly a grizzly bear (if another animal appeared, simply try again). The grizzly bear is shown in the picture above and you need to get 3 such skins.
Useful note - If you want to save time, take a drug called The Furious after the arrival of a grizzly bear. A bear will die with a single strike of your fist, and when searching its corpse you'll get 2 skins instead of one. With this method, you only need to find 2 bears.
Completing the quest
Return to Charles Lindsey in Hope County jail after gathering all five skins. He'll give you the improved bait.
Rewards for completing the mission: Bait upgrade (it can now also "call" enemies under the influence of Bliss), 600 resistance points.
