General tips
- The boss fight is quite like a regular invader fight. It's a battle between the player and an NPC. As a result, you can easily provoke the boss to approach you while charging your heavy attack. It makes it easy to land it on him.
- Vyke often uses an ability that reduces his resistance to lightning damage. As a result, make sure to equip weapons or incantations that deal this type of damage for this fight.
- The boss also deals tons of lightning damage. Because of this, it's a good idea to wear armor that protects against it.
- Vyke fights with a spear, so expect his attacks to hit you from a slightly greater distance.
- He can also use two Lansseax's Glaives by slightly hovering into the air. This is rare, but you may miss Vyke when he flies up, while also being hit by a powerful attack that deals significant lightning damage. When you see him making this move, move away from him and watch out for discharges.
How to defeat?
As this is an NPC fight, you can easily defeat him using one tactic. You need to walk or run backwards, provoking Vyke to approach you. Then, when he's close, launch a charged, jump, or running attack. However, make sure to do it while he's very close to you and is about to attack, since you will always be faster than him.
Most of his attacks are linear, so it's better to dodge to the side rather than backward or forward. Due to his range, you risk getting hit when you dodge backwards.
Watch out mainly for the attacks during which he creates red lightning. He usually launches them when he flies up into the air. They deal devastating damage, especially the jump attack where he lands on the ground while using his spear.
Also, keep an eye out for his attack during which he stands still for a moment before raising his hand and summoning some lightning bolts. The attack is linear, so just run to the side to avoid it.
