Fog Rift Catacombs
You can visit these catacombs as first out of 3 available ones. Head north from Castle Ensis. The path marked in screenshot 1 leads past Fog Rift Fort - you don't have to fight the enemies there and you can escape from them. Approach the catacombs from the south and find the entrance in the forest.
In the catacombs, apart from the enemies, watch out for spike traps. Interestingly, you can jump on some traps and use them to reach the upper rooms. At the end of the catacombs there is an optional boss Death Knight to defeat.
Darklight Catacombs
Reaching and passing through these catacombs is required to unlock the Abyssal Woods region - the walkthrough is described in detail on a separate page of our guide, titled How to reach the Abyssal Woods?. You must start in the lower part of Scadu Altus and head south along the Hermit River. The path branches at some point and you can reach the entrance to the catacombs in two different ways.
The unique feature of these catacombs is the omnipresent darkness. You can illuminate the surroundings using your equipment or look for levers to illuminate subsequent rooms - this will make navigation easier. Boss Jori, Elder Inquisitor is waiting at the end of the catacombs - this fight is described in the Bosses chapter.
Scorpion River Catacombs
The entrance to these catacombs is in the northwestern part of the map, under the Ancient Ruins of Rauh region. Start southeast of the catacombs at the Site of Grace called Temple Town Ruins. Follow the Scorpion River north, then turn west and south.
The most serious threat in these catacombs is the Death Blight debuff on the character. When the "curse" bar fills up, it means instant death. Avoid staying in the field of view of enemies applying this effect for too long and rely on sprinting and covers. At the end of the catacombs there is an optional boss Death Knight to defeat.
Ancient Ruins of Rauh
This is a large region in the northwestern part of the map. You can get there from the Shadow Keep, choosing to travel along the western walls. This will take you to the Site of Grace called the Viaduct Minor Tower, shown on the picture.
In the northern and western parts of the region you will find numerous entrances to underground locations. They can be multi-level and, in addition, in some of them you will find elevators that help you explore them in 100%.
Passing through the Ancient Ruins of Rauh is also required to reach the western location called Church of the Bud, where you must defeat a story boss and complete an activity related to the main plot.
Belurat Gaol
This is one of the larger optional dungeons. The entrance to it is in the north-western part of the Graveyard Plain, west of the lake that is the lair of the optional boss Ghost Flame Dragon.
Go through this large vertical location. In addition to the unique loot, at the end there will be a duel with boss Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze.
Bonny Gaol
This is one of the larger optional dungeons. The entrance to it is in the southern part of Scadu Altus. Specifically, you need to go south from the village of Bonny, using one of the drawbridges.
Go through this large vertical location. In addition to the unique loot, at the end you will have to fight boss Curseblade Labirith.
Lamenter's Gaol
The entrance to the dungeon is in the northwestern part of Charo's Hidden Grave. This is a secret region in the southern part of the map and getting to it is described in detail on the page titled How to get to Charo's Hidden Grave? .
Make your way through this large vertical location, collecting 2 keys along the way. In addition to the unique loot, at the end there will be a fight with boss Lamenter.
Stone Coffin Fissure
This is a very large underground location, the entrance to which is at the southern end of Cerulean Coast. Initially, the entrance to the dungeon is blocked by a magical barrier. You can automatically lift it after you first approach Shadow Keep in the northern part of the map.
Carefully jump down the ledges until you reach the dungeon entrance and the Site of Grace. At the end of this underground location there is the story boss the Putrescent Knight - the fight with him is described in the Bosses chapter.
Dragon's Pit
You can reach this dungeon by going north from Castle Ensis - it is the eastern, higher part of the Graveyard Plain region.
You must defeat the boss Ancient Dragon Man twice - first as an invader and then as a full-fledged opponent at the end of the dungeon. Killing him is required to unlock the Foot of Jagged Peak location and new areas in the eastern part of the world map.
Western Nameless Mausoleum
It's one the 4 mausoleums in the Land of Shadow - small optional dungeons with bosses to defeat.
The western mausoleum is in a cemetery on Graveyard Plain. After entering and going down the stairs, you can fight the boss Blackgaol Knight - we have described this fight in the Bosses chapter.
Northern Nameless Mausoleum

The northern mausoleum is east of the Temple Town Ruins in the northern part of the map. You must head east from the ruins and then turn south to catapult yourself with the help of 2 Spiritsprings. After entering and going down the stairs, you can fight the boss Red Bear.

Cave in the Moorth Ruins
The ruins are in the central part of the Scadu Altus region. By exploring them, you can find the entrance to the caves shown by screenshot 2.
Passing through the caves has a practical purpose, because you will unlock the path to the village of Bonny located south-east of the ruins.
Ellac River Cavern
You must reach this cave if you plan to explore the southern part of the map, which contains, among others, Cerulean Coast. Head south of Castle Ensis.
You can reach the cave entrance from the north or south and it is next to a large hostile plant. In the cave you will find Site of Grace shown by screenshot 2 and the passage to Ellac River.
