On this page of the guide to Diablo 2 Resurrected you will learn how to start and finish the The Horadric Staff quest.
After completing the Radament's Lair quest in Diablo 2 Resurrected, you need to pick up the Horadric Scroll, found in the defeated boss' arena.
Take this item and talk to Deckard Cain in town. He'll task you to find three objects: a staff, an amulet and a cube in three separate areas.
- Complete the Tainted Sun quest to find a part of the staff - the Amulet in the Claw Viper Temple.
- Go to the third floor of the Halls of the Dead. There, after beating a group of enemies, you'll find a chest holding the Horadric Cube. It's a special item important both gameplay-wise and story-wise. Story-wise, you need it to create The Horadric Staff. It can also be used outside of this quest to upgrade and infuse items by using gems and runes. We've described this mechanic in more detail on the Runes and rune words page.
- Staff of Kings - the final part of the Staff. You'll find it on the third floor of the Maggot Lair. The entrance to this area is located in the Far Oasis. It's located inside a chest (visible on the map) and guarded by a mini-boss.
Return to town and use the Horadric Cube (by right-clicking it). Insert the staff and the amulet, then press the "Transmute" button on the bottom of the screen.
The Horadric Staff will be created. It can be used as a weapon until the last part of the Act's final mission - Seven Tombs. The Staff is the only reward for completing the mission.
