Amazon is the only one specializing in throwing weapons - bows, crossbows, javelins. However, nothing prevents you from using other weapons. Two categories of her skills are mutually exclusive - for javelins and for bows. Passive and magical skills will come in handy for any class and are very important in character development. Key skills:
- Jab,
- Penetration,
- Pierce,
- Valkyrie.
These skills give the biggest benefits for almost every build, so be sure to check them out.
Javelin and spear
Level 2 - Jab
Starting skill; Amazon deals 3 quick strikes with reduced power and increased attack speed (3 attacks per Normal weapon attack speed). At Level 6, it deals damage with standard power, and later receives a small damage bonus and a small boost to attack accuracy.

The attack gets stronger when it is boosted with a bonus to each hit (elemental damage from items, mana/health draining). Also useful when fighting monsters with resistance to the elements. The skill is more useful when you use a slow weapon. It is worth combining with the development of Critical Hit passive skill.
Level 6 - Power Strike
The ability adds lightning damage to the attack. The bonus is quite high, which allows you to use it in the early stages of the game, making it much easier to fight stronger opponents (as long as your basic attack does not kill them almost immediately). The lightning damage bonus can reach a quite high level but will be completely ineffective on enemies resistant to lightning. Also, remember that the attack value is random, so the higher the target value, the greater the randomness spread in the attack strength.

Level 6 - Poison Javelin
This is a skill for javelin throw. A javelin thrown with this skill carries a cloud of highly damaging poison. Sometimes it is worth aiming not at the enemy, but next to them - so that you can infect as many enemies as possible. Note that the indicated damage will be dealt within the specified time - it is not the amount of damage per second.

It is worth developing a side passive skill - Pierce. Thanks to it, the javelin will fly through the target, carrying the poison cloud much further. This is a very good starting skill but requires using the right strategies. A skill might be a better choice than the Plague Javelin.
Level 12 - Impale
Deal your opponent significantly increased damage at the expense of the chance to damage the weapon. It is best if you use indestructible or self-repairing weapons, or you throw javelins (replenishing them every now and then). Due to the extended duration of the attack, it can be easily interrupted. The attack is therefore only suitable for fighting single, stronger opponents. Mana consumption - always 3 points.

You can use Impale when you have a strong and durable spear. The ability will be useful for fighting monsters with immunity. However, it doesn't have any synergies.
Level 12 - Lightning Bolt
Another javelin attack. Turns regular damage into elemental (lightning) damage and adds a bonus. We don't recommend this attack - you will use it rarely. Although a basic ranged javelin attack deals more damage than a melee, there are other melee skills that are better than Lightning Bolt. Base damage is reduced by 25%.

Level 18 - Charged Strike
Charged Strike is a very good skill that adds lightning to the attack, which spreads out behind the enemy, damaging monsters behind them. The target, especially if it's small, will not always get hit by lightning - unlike big bosses, especially the story ones.

This ability with area-of-effect feature is recommended for many builds.
Level 18 - Plague Javelin
An "improved" version of Poison Javelin. The javelin still carries a cloud of poison, but when it hits the target, it explodes, creating a new and large cloud. However, the ability is not strictly better, because it deals less damage from poisoning - but in a shorter time (more damage per second). However, the attacks are slower (single throws). The accuracy bonus makes attacks more likely to hit the target. Note that the indicated damage will be dealt within the specified time - it is not the amount of damage per second.

Plague Javelin is a much better attack than Poison Javelin but only on its higher levels.
Level 24 - Fend
Fend is a powerful attack with no synergy. Use it to attack any enemy within range. This is not a skill for everyone. To increase its effectiveness, Amazon must allow herself to be surrounded - she will need to have a high defense/evasion level/amount of health. Mana cost: 5.

This is a skill specifically designed for slower spears - the attack cannot be faster than 1 second, and it attacks enemies within its range. The spear has a greater range than the javelin.
Level 30 - Lightning Strike
Lightning strike is a magical attack unrelated to a weapon. Upon hitting the target, lightning spreads to other opponents - the number of jumps depends on the skill level. It works similarly to the Sorceress's attack but is much weaker than it. This skill is similar to Lightning Fury, however, it is designed for melee combat and dealing almost half the damage (but faster attack speed).

Not recommended - does not have much strength, it's not highly effective against groups or bosses.
Level 30 - Lightning Fury
An attack intended solely for the javelin throw. The target hit with it sends out lightning to enemies located behind it - the number of lightning bolts depends on the level. When combined with Pierce, the next target hit by the same javelin will also send out lightning bolts.

A very effective "crowd control" attack. However, it is available only when you are throwing a javelin. Attack very often used in builds.
Passive skills and magic
Level 2 - Inner Sight
Active spell: allows you to highlight and blind nearby enemies. This makes it easier to spot them (you will also avoid ambushes, as the effect works behind obstacles) and deal more damage. Rogue-type mercenaries' default skill. The effect does not stack with repeated use. Range: 13.3 yards.

The ability works for a few seconds. If you are able to quickly switch between skills, it can be very useful on almost every level.
Level 2 - Critical Strike
Passive Ability: increases the chance of dealing twice as much damage - the chance increases with each level. A useful skill for any build, for both fast and slow attacks - especially when you are building an offensive character. Only applies to direct weapon damage - not useful when you want to rely mainly on elemental damage.

The effect works fully (according to the level) on Valkyrie. It is worth investing at least one or three points in this skill.
Level 6 - Dodge
Passive ability: allows you to avoid a melee attack (does not work against ranged attacks). Works only when the heroine does not move (she can, however, attack).

The effect works fully (according to the level) on Valkyrie and Decoy. This ability is worth investing a few points: how much depends mainly on whether your character is focused on offense/defense, melee/ranged combat.
Level 12 - Avoid
Allows you to avoid magic projectiles and arrows when the heroine does not move. If you do not like to perform many evasions by moving the character or you like to fight while surrounded by monsters, this ability can make a big difference. It is better suited for defensive Amazon builds (something closer to a tank).

The effect works fully (according to the level) on Valkyrie and Decoy. The skill can be useful for ranged-oriented characters so that they do not have to stop attacking.
Level 12 - Slow Missiles
Attacks targeted at your character are slowed down, making them easy to avoid. The ability must be activated. A more convenient option is to invest in the Avoid ability. However, this depends on the way you play - if you use a melee-oriented character, Slow Missiles will be much more useful in some areas.

Skill aimed at more experienced players: remember to activate it as fast as you can. However, its usefulness is quite small - not counting the PvP fights.
Level 18 - Penetrate
Skill for ranged characters: passively increases the chance of hitting. The high percentage gain when upgrading this skill may seem tempting. However, it is negated by the Blessed Aim aura which can be cast on you by some Desert Mercenaries.

The effect works on Valkyrie, however, it adds its constant value of the chance to hit, not the percentage one - 40 points per level.
Level 24 - Decoy
A spell that will allow you to create your copy to divert attention from the Amazon for a few seconds. Decoy appears where the mouse cursor is. A useful skill for offensive builds with little health/defense - Strafe for characters using a bow. In addition, investing in this skill improves Valkyrie's health by 20% per level.

It can be effectively used to lure enemies into one place or for scouting purposes. However, it should be remembered that if the Decoy is created far from the heroine, the enemies who are closer to the Amazon will attack her instead.
Level 24 - Evade
Evade gives you a chance to avoid the attack when moving. Less useful than Dodge, especially since the percentage of avoiding an attack is small.

Level 30 - Valkyrie
Valkyrie allows you to summon a companion who will stay at your side until it dies. The lack of time limit and the growth of Valkyrie's stats along with the development of passive skills makes it a very useful ability for any build and one of the strongest allies (who always fights with a spear).

At difficulty levels higher than Normal, Valkyrie can acquire random resistances (different each time you summon it). When summoned, she also receives random items that can improve her statistics.
Level 30 - Pierce
Pierce is almost a mandatory skill for characters using ranged weapons or throwing javelins. The projectiles will (with a certain chance) pierce the target and fly further. This allows you to maximize the effect of skills like Poison Javelin or Lightning Fury. Does not work with the Guided Arrow.

Bows and crossbows
Level 2 - Fire Arrow
Adds fire effect (and damage) to the attack. They are not high and do not provide additional benefits. It is not worth investing more than 1 point in this ability. A better idea is to invest in Magic Arrow or Cold Arrow.

Level 2 - Magic Arrow
The Magic Arrow is made of mana, so it doesn't matter how much arrows you have in the quiver. However, it has fewer other positive features (e.g. it does not work with the Pierce passive ability).

Despite appearances, it's a pretty good skill. When you level up, you can use it as your default attack, as it will basically cost you neither mana nor arrows - improving your aim and damage to a small extent. At higher difficulty levels, it will work well on monsters with invulnerabilities.
Level 6 - Cold Arrow
Cold Arrow adds frost damage and slows down enemies slightly. A similar effect of slowing enemies down can be obtained from any talisman that gives frost damage, so the ability does not have many benefits - the damage bonus is small.

It can work at the very beginning of the game, but do not invest points in it.
Level 6 - Multiple Shot
Creates several arrows from one. When fired, they split into initially two - and more with each subsequent level - projectiles. Each arrow deals damage reduced by 25%, however, all projectiles have the same power and bonuses. Only a single arrow can hit one enemy - do not invest in too many arrows at the beginning (high mana cost).

A good area-of-effect skill that is worth investing in, but has a lot of mana consumption at the initial levels. The attack gains a lot with additional magic damage/mana or health draining. You can control the angle at which the next arrows diverge by clicking attack (while holding Shift) or on enemies closer or farther away.
Level 12 - Exploding Arrow
The arrow causes additional area damage from the fire where it hit. A better version of Fire Arrow. Explosion damages enemies within 3 yards. Thanks to Pierce, your arrow can create more explosions it hits an enemy/obstacle.

The ability is not weak if the build focuses on it - however, there will be a problem with enemies with fire resistance.
Level 18 - Ice Arrow
This attack is stronger than Cold Arrow. Also, most of the enemies won't be slowed down but frozen in place. However, it deals less damage than Freezing Arrow.

Level 18 - Guided Arrow
One of the worst ranged attacks - the arrow looks for a target by itself. Does not work with Pierce and it costs a lot of mana. The target closest to the Amazon is selected.

Unlike Magic Arrow, it focuses on increasing attack power instead of accuracy.
Level 24 - Strafe
A developed form of Multiple Shot. You still get reduced damage by -25%, but the penalty decreases every level - from the fifth, you start getting bonus damage. The number of attacks is high from the beginning, and the mana consumption is constant. In addition: you always shoot one arrow, and the attack works similar to Guided Arrow - projectiles find their own targets.

One of the best Amazon attacks for bows.
Level 24 - Immolation Arrow
Fire attack - there is an explosion in the place where the arrow hits (works with Pierce) and it leaves a trace of fire (for 3 seconds), which further reduces health points. A very strong attack against opponents that are not immune to fire. Disadvantage: you shoot every second.

Level 30 - Freezing Arrow
Freezing Arrow works with Freezing Arrow (except for bosses and special enemies, which get slowed down) and gets a big bonus to attack power and accuracy. When the target is hit, an ice explosion occurs, which, in addition to the target, also freezes nearby enemies.

A good skill, but it loses importance at higher skill levels due to the reduction of freezing time to the minimum (0.5 seconds).
