The most important thing in Diablo 2 Resurrected is choosing the right character - according to your own preferences, so that you will have more fun. What is more important, however, is the right selection of skills and equipment. This page of the Diablo 2 Resurrected guide contains the general tips regarding building a character.
You can reset your skills and statistics (what should be done in the final phase of the game, when you know what you expect from the hero) and freely distribute them again once per playthrough.
Our guide includes exemplary builds and tips on how to develop the character throughout the game. However, there are many more ways of combining skills, statistics and equipment. However, you have to remember the most important things:
- Each level of a given active skill increases damage, but also means an increased mana consumption; do not forget about Energy when distributing stat points (especially in the early stages of the game - it may turn out that you have not enough mana to effectively use the skill in battle).
- Successive skill levels provide a permanent bonus - every point spent on improving skills increases its statistics by the same percentage.
- Some skills have synergy - that is, one skill passively improves the other. So it is worth choosing and increasing those skills that strengthen each other. It is also worth noting that, sometimes, strengthening the main skill through synergy with a side skill may bring more benefits than putting a point in that skill.
- Check out the skills you don't have access to - most skills derived from one branch of the skill tree are strictly related. Developing one skill can transfer a percentage bonus to the next one you unlock. It can be a tactical solution if you are going to use two skills that are strengthening each other.
- Every class gains health and mana when they gain a level. However, the increase is different for each class. In the final stages of the game, some characters will be able to remove excess points placed in the Energy and Vitality.
- Some passive skills are worth activating by spending at least one point on them. For example, Amazon has a passive ability Dodge, which allows you to perform dodges at the level of 18%. It is nevertheless a big bonus to the defense, costing only 1 point.
- When creating your own build, always keep two things in mind: the character must be able to deal well with both bosses and large groups of opponents; usually, weaker area attacks can be much more important, both during exploration and boss battles which are usually accompanied by weaker monsters. Two: the character should (but does not have to) be able to fight both in close quarters and from a distance. You will encounter a lot of opponents in the game who can deal you massive damage (like Scarabs in Act 2).
Skill tree:
- Each skill has an upgrade limit - 20.
- You can unlock higher skills for your class by gaining levels: 1-6-12-18-24-30
- To advance to higher levels of a given skill, your character will have to reach a specific level.
- You don't have to split skill points right away - sometimes it's worth waiting until you reach a higher level and developing more interesting higher-level skills right away.
- Akara will reset your skills once per game - do it after exceeding at least level 30.
Why should I use builds? This question is asked by many new players. You should be able to finish Diablo 2 Resurrected without using any builds. However, you may have big problems with the next Acts or bosses if you play as one of the more difficult classes, like the Necromancer. In addition - without the right build, you will not be able to complete the game on the more difficult levels.
The proposed builds have been prepared for Level 50, including free (12) points obtained by completing tasks.
