On this page you'll learn some basic info regarding the Druid class in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
The Druid is the most hybrid of all classes, allowing you to use elemental magic while being less specialized than the Sorceress, transform into an animal, letting you play similarly to a Barbarian, or summon creatures like the Necromancer. It's obviously recommended to choose one of the specializations, although summoning creatures is useful for any build - not only can they fight for you, they can also buff you. It's worth noting that magic and shapeshifting are partially mutually exclusive: you can't cast spells while being shapeshifted (into a werewolf or a bear).
What's the Druid best for? For beating the game quickly. With a good build, this class doesn't need to rely on mercenaries or items - it's self-sufficient, letting you spend less time on searching for top-tier items. Additionally, some of the Druid's spells can very quickly eliminate enemies in their area-of-effect, while their werewolf form - with the appropriate skills - has the highest movement speed out of any character in the game while not losing any effectiveness in combat (it also knows life steal).
It's worth noting that you can summon several different creatures at the same time (but not several copies of a single creature).
