On this page of the guide to Diablo 2 Resurrected you will find selected builds for the Sorceress class.
The Sorceress is a very flexible character when it comes to skill selection. Skills from different elements are often mixed as supporting skills, with the focus on one or two main offensive spells from one or two elements (it's not good to invest in all 3 element classes simultaneously - this excludes a few useful skills, such as Warmth or Teleport). Regardless, it's worth looking for items that regenerate mana and lower enemy resistance for the elements you use.
In Sorceress builds you will mainly focus on investing points in mana. Depending on what weapons you want to use - you can choose whichever you like - Strength and Dexterity points will be enough for the level required by the gear; Vitality poits aren't that important. Mercenaries can be anyone, but long range ones will be better [Iron Wolf / Rogue] if you're going to use the Teleport spell which transports the companions as well.
Blizzard Sorceress
Blizzard Sorceress focuses on using the Blizzard spell at the highest level. The disadvantages of this spell are its shorter duration and the required skills in predicting the "aiming" manner. The spell does not deal all the damage at once, so supportive spells are welcome - Ice bolt it is a powerful one and additionally has a mutual synergy with Blizzard. However, if you are going to play the character at higher difficulty levels, it's worth predicting how resistant to ice the subsequent monsters will be and switch to a different element.
- Skills: Blizzard and Ice bolt or e.g. Chain Lightning as offensive spells, as well as Cold Mastery. Additionally, depending on your preferences: Static field, Teleport, Warmth.
Two things are worth noting: on harder levels, cold is a weaker element - it can freeze or slow enemies down, but this is heavily reduced when you start the game again on a higher difficulty level.
If you play in a team, remember that ice kills often destroy enemy bodies - as a result, Barbarians and Necromancers won't be able to search them.
Chain Lightning Sorceress
If you like lightning spells, Chain Lightning Sorceress is one of the optimal builds. It focuses, of course, on the Chain Lightning spell which attacks several enemies at the same time. This spell can be cast quickly at low mana cost, but its damage is unpredictable. To increase the spell's effectiveness, synergies will be useful. When fighting stronger enemies, you can use Lightning Bolt which will also improve the synergies of Chain Lightning. Since the spells you will use have no casting delays, you can look for items that increase their speed or reduce resistance to Lightning. If you're going to play at higher difficulty levels, it's worth choosing spells from another element for later stages to fight enemies resistant to Lighting.
- Skills: Chain Lightning, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Mastery. Additionally, depending on your preferences: Static field, Teleport, Warmth. You may want to think about an additional spell from a different element without synergies (or very weak ones) at higher levels, e.g. Frozen Orb.
Fire Wall Sorceress
Fire Wall Sorceress uses the Fire Wall spell as the main attack. It does not have high synergies, and one of the skills that supports this spell is Warmth which is a good addition for any character build (it speed up the regeneration of mana). Thus, choosing a skill from another element for this build is very easy; it's best that this skill has low or no synergies, such as Frozen Orb or Thunder Storm. The Fire Wall alone is quite slow, but you can cast it very quickly. Teleport will be a very convenient solution for this build. This is one of the easier builds: highly efficient, with high mana regeneration, highly flexible because you don't need to spend many points on main skills, and quite easy to use, without much difficulty at first.
- Skills: Fire Wall, Fire Mastery, Warmth. In addition, it is worth choosing an offensive spell of another category, such as Thunder Storm or Frozen Orb. Additionally, it's a good idea to choose Teleport and - due to high amounts of mana - Energy Shield.
Enchantress
You don't like casting spells, but do you like some of the Sorceress's skills? No problem. With the Enchantress build you will engage in melee combat using a sword and shield, strengthening them with a Charm. You should focus on increasing the strength of the attack rather than defense.
- Skills: Charm, Warmth, Fire Mastery, Energy Shield. Teleport and Static Field are also welcome.
- Attributes: in this build, you need to slightly change the attribute priority: Strength (up to max. 127 - for the gear), Vitality - none, will be replaced by Energy with Energy Shield. Dexterity - you need many points here, well above 100, to have effective attacks / shield blocks (50% effectiveness at 200 points).
- Mercenaries: with this build, it's worth thinking about a Desert Mercenary with a good aura or a Barbarian, who can manage without your support.
