Diablo 2 Resurrected: Druid - Best builds Diablo 2 Resurrected guide, tips

On this page of the Diablo 2 Resurrected game guide, you will get information on the best builds for the Druid class.

Last update: 25 October 2021

On this page of the guide to Diablo 2 Resurrected, we've described the popular and good builds for the Druid class.

The Druid has many build variants, but most of them are based on transformation and maxing out one of the skills, instead of creating more complex combinations. In the case of a Druid, that works. Here, however, we will focus on more interesting buildings that require more explanation.

Wind Druid

Wind Druid uses wind magic. This is a very powerful build - his spells deal massive damage, but the damage is purely magical, making it slightly more difficult to play at higher levels. They have strong synergies with each other, so he quickly becomes a specialist in one field. These spells are ranged, so you will need the help of someone who will distract the enemies. You mainly use two attacks: Hurricane and Tornado - however, you have to be close to your opponents (Hurricane range is limited, and Tornado is difficult to hit distant targets), so health and defense are crucial in this build.

  1. Skills: The main skills on which you spend almost all points are the element spells: Cyclone Armor, Twister, Tornado, Hurricane. The armor will provide you with partial protection, and the Hurricane will injure enemies close to the Druid. To attack, you can use Tornado or Twister, and the latter, although weaker, will additionally stun enemies. Very useful will also be summoned creatures - depending on your preferences (Wolves / Grizzly, in addition, Oak Sage and optional Raven - if you want to rely more on the summons).
  2. Attributes: Strength and Dexterity - depend on the equipment, however, don't focus too much on the weapon using magic, more on the armor. Energy - none. Vitality - all remaining points.
  3. Mercenaries: You need a tank so both Desert Mercenaries and Iron Wolves will work. But it would be a good idea to hire Barbarians at Level 5 until you get the right equipment giving buffs for Desert Mercenaries.

Fire Druid

This is a slightly worse build than Wind Druid because Fire Druid uses fire spells - which, at the highest difficulty level, are the most weakened, and enemies often have resistance to fire damage. Spells that are worth investing in are, first of all: Fire Ball, which also inflicts physical injuries, and Fissure, which will deal area damage (you can summon 2 Fissures at once). You can use other spells, but you should avoid Volcano and Armageddon. Although they are high-level spells, they are extremely impractical and ultimately quite weak (opponents often do not receive damage from these attacks because they're randomly placed on the arena).

  1. Skills: Fissure, Fire Ball. In addition: Volcano / Firestorm (synergies for both mentioned spells - However, Firestorm can be useful for you to fight bosses). To do this, any skills from the category Summoning: Oak sage, Dire Wolves or Grizzly will be a good choice. In the first stages of the game, a good idea is also Solar Creeper because the spells you're going to use cost a lot of Mana.
  2. Attributes: Strength and Dexterity - depend on the equipment, however, don't focus too much on the weapon using magic, more on the armor. Energy - You can assign a few points here before resetting your skills, you'll get more Mana as your character level rises. Vitality - all remaining points.
  3. Mercenaries: You need a tank so both Desert Mercenaries and Iron Wolves will work. A good choise will be Barbarians.

Rabies Werewolf

The Rabies Werewolf / Rabies Druid build focuses on the Werewolf transformation and its Rabies skill. It focuses on hit-and-run tactics, attacking a single enemy and immediately retreating to attack another one. This helps Rabies to spread from one enemy to all enemies nearby. Even if the enemy is resistant to poison, they still carry Rabies and infect others with it. It's a good build for quickly leveling the character up, by eliminating large groups of enemies. You can additionally use the leftover skill points on higher levels to upgrade your favorite skills.

  1. Skills: Werewolf, Lycanthropy and Rabies form the base of the build. Poison Creeper synergizes with them, Oak Sage or Heart of the Wolverine for buffs. You can invest the remaining points into offensive skills: Feral Rage (for speed) / Fury (when surrounded) or into summoning skills, such as Summon Dire Wolf (they'll be able to follow you easily as they can teleport).
  2. Attributes: Strength and Dexterity - depends on your equipment - your weapon doesn't matter as much once you shapeshift into a werewolf, but its strength still influences your attack after your transformation. Energy - You can assign a few points here before resetting your skills, you'll get more Mana as your character level rises. Vitality - all remaining points.
  3. Mercenaries: It's worth investing into a helper who'll finish the weakened enemies off for you: Rogue Archers or Iron Wolves could do in a pinch, but the best choice is theBarbarian.

Fury Werewolf

Fury Werewolf spreads chaos with its Fury skill. The build focuses on obtaining high amounts of health - passively and thanks to various bonuses. Having plenty of HP synergizes with the Fury skill, which lets you recover health and constantly keep it high. The skill also increases your speed, making the Fury Werewolf an easy and dynamic character to play.

  1. Skills: Werewolf, Lycanthropy, and Fury form the base of the build. Heart Of Wolverine or Oak Sage, depending on your preferences (defense / attack). It's also worth to grab the Summon Grizzly skill, as it could draw the enemies away from you.
  2. Attributes: Strength and Dexterity - depending on your equipment. Energy - none. Vitality - all remaining points.
  3. Mercenaries: Barbarian or Desert Mercenary.
