Besides the health and stamina bars, Code Vein also has a third bar called Focus Gauge, which is located above the stamina bar. Your opponents also have this bar - is located above their health. You get Focus Gauge when you receive a lot of damage or make a perfect dodge. Also, keep in mind that the same applies to opponents. The same goes for the bonuses. Both the player's character and their enemy receive various bonuses by filling up the Focus Gauge:

1. It replenishes the stamina.
2. It is harder to throw the character out of balance.
3. Attacks are more likely to throw enemies out of balance.
4. It gives you the ability to perform a powerful attack that launches an enemy into the air.

Keep in mind the fact that the opponent can also perform a powerful attack that will be signaled by a blue aura around them - pay attention to the opponents' Focus Gauge.
