Death in Code Vein Code Vein guide, walkthrough
Last update: 26 September 2019
Death is an integral part of many games - the same goes for Code Vein where the death of your character can slightly complicate the gameplay. Read this section to learn what happens after the death of your character.
Code Vein is known from its difficulty level meaning that you will die very often. As with most games of this type, death means loss. After dying, your character goes back to the last Mistle in which you rested. You also lose all your current Haze. Of course, it doesn't disappear - if you manage to get to the place where you were killed, you can retrieve what you have lost. If you die after losing all your Haze, you will get only as much as you had before your last death. Be careful, because there is a risk that you won't get anything back.
However, there is another way to restore the currency. There's a place called Hot Springs at Home Base - when you go there, you will see most NPCs resting in the hot springs. Rest there and you will get your currency back. However, you will only get half of it. The other half will be lost forever. This is a much safer option, however, you will lose 50% of your currency.
