Skull King is one of the Final Bosses in Code Vein. He often uses two swords and a Bloody Veil. It is very fast, so it can get close to you in a short period of time. Fighting it is quite difficult. It is also worth mentioning that blood attacks will inflict little damage on him, and he can't be put on any status.

In the first phase, Skull King will want to take the lead in the fight from the very beginning, charging your way. When you see that his Blood Veil activates (the heads of dogs above the head), it means that he will charge towards you. A similar attack can also be carried out at close range, then his Blood Veil attacks twice. After that he makes a slight charge forward, cutting you with his two swords. It's best to stand by him when he performs Blood Veil's attack, then dodge him and start an attack. However, remember that his recovery does not last long during attacks, so you don't have much time to perform a series of strikes.

The attacks of his swords are quite predictable, but still dangerous if you make a mistake. He usually attacks with one sword and then attacks with the other sword from the other side. It's best to take him from behind when he's attacking with swords.

The second phase begins when Skull King starts attacking with both hands, thus combining his swords, giving him increased damage and range. Despite that these attacks are slightly slower and more predictable. He also has a blood explosion skill. When you see Skull King standing still and doing nothing for a while, it means he's about to make a blood explosion that deals a lot of damage and knocks you away. Also, watch out for his jump that ends in a sword attack, as he can quickly make another attack after that.

The third phase adds the boss some special attacks related to his swords. He starts to spread blood while attacking and slashing with his swords. One of his most dangerous blows is a two-handed slash, after which he jumps and lands quickly, hitting the ground and causing a vertical but rapid wave of blood. When you see him landing, roll behind his back and start attacking him. One of the new moves of Skull King are quick two blows into the air, which form projectiles flying towards the player.

One of the last phases is activated when Skull King has about 20% of health. You must kill him in this phase as soon as possible, because his attacks are powerful, so one mistake can even cost you your life. From now on, when he joins both swords together, he will create a large, bloody sword that has huge range and damage. Remember that by executing this attack, he will then perform another one, so be prepared to dodge again. In addition, his attacks cause blood and damage that takes your character off balance, but they do it over time.
