On this page of our guide to Code Vein you will learn how to get to a new region, namely the memories of your character. You will learn the story of your character, what actually have happened before. In addition, you will discover various shortcuts and passages to a new location.

To get to the memories of your character, you must approach the Special Vestige, which is located near the arena where you fought the Argent Wolf Berserker boss. By activating Vestige, a cutscene about your character's fate will be displayed. After a while you will be in a completely new place, with lots of NPCs that you can talk to. Go ahead and unlock the first Mistle of the region, the Research Facility Area.

Going a bit further, there'll be an opponent in front of you guarding the door. But you won't open them until you get Barracks Key. That's why you should go right at first and jump down. Be careful, however, as there are many opponents to defeat. Preferably lure one enemy, this is a better solution than fighting all of them at once.

On the left side there is a passage down with several resting enemies. Kill them and pick up the Condensed Loss Shard (L).

After dealing with a lot of enemies, go ahead. Close to the abyss you will find Barracks Key. Use it to open the aforementioned doors.

Before you go back to the locked door, explore the whole area. Start on the right, there's a sitting opponent waiting for you.

Behind the opponent on the right side there are brittle objects visible in the image, destroy them and pick up Queen Steel. Go left, deal with your opponents. Walk down, defeat the enemy.

Move ahead and turn right. That's where you can pick up the Awake MJ212.

Now, return to the door from the beginning of the location, on the other side of the door open a chest to obtain Queenslayer Hammer +5. Keep going and pick up the Dagger (x2) and Regen Inducer.

Jump lower, cross the grotto where the opponent is located.

Climb up the ladder to find the first Rotten Mistle which will update the map. After clearing the area jump off below.

From now on, be careful, because there are opponents hiding behind cars who want to surprise you.

Go straight ahead. On the right you will find a small building with Mistle, the Military Storehouse.
