While playing as Saga in Alan Wake 2, you're going to need a screwdriver to open some of the locked rooms and containers. On this page of the guide, we show where to find it in Watery, how to reach it, and how to use the screwdriver.

Location of the screwdriver in Watery

The Screwdriver comes in handy when trying to unlock access to locked containers and rooms that have padlocks on.

1. This is not the end - at some point in the story, you're going to need to find it to push the plot forward. During Return 3, you'll enter a new region called Watery, and its largest area - Coffee World. There, you'll receive an objective to break into a souvenir store and you're going to need the screwdriver to do that.
2. With the road forward blocked, you need to make a detour to The Percolator carousel - you can access it from the eastern part of the amusement park area.

After entering the carousel area, you'll be attacked by enemies:

1. use the crossbow or the pistol to kill the first Taken - a sniper hiding in one of the large cups (screenshot)
2. equip the sawed-off shotgun or the pistol to kill the second Taken that uses melee attacks.

How to use the screwdriver?

1. Screwdriver is used to interact with some of the encountered objects. Namely, padlocks that have to be forced open in the absence of a matching key. After interacting with a padlock, you need to choose the screwdriver from the list of carried quest items.
2. Encountered padlocks are marked on the location maps and when you point the cursor to one of such blips, it will tell you about the need to use the screwdriver. A good idea would be to return to padlocks encountered earlier. You'll find some, among others, in locations from earlier chapters, such as Cauldron Lake and the town of Bright Falls. You surely encountered some padlocks there that you couldn't open earlier.
