Last update: 14 November 2023
Alan Wake 2 is first of all a story-driven game and you may wonder if there are several possible endings to the adventure, for example, a "good" or a "bad" ending. On this page of our guide, we explain whether the game has multiple endings and how to witness a secret scene that develops on the base ending.
We tried to avoid story spoilers on this page and as a result, don't spoil how the main storyline of Alan Wake 2 ends.
Ending to the story
- The story of Alan Wake 2 features only one ending. There are no choices in the game that could change the course of the plot or unlock alternative endings.
- You will get the main ending after completing Return 9 as Saga - after placing all clues on the case board and checking all the topics at the Profiling table.
- This will lead to a "live-action" scene that concludes the main storyline.
Bonus scene after the end credits
- Don't exit the game until all credits have rolled, as there will be a bonus scene after them.
- It is very likely that the story from Alan Wake 2 will be continued by story DLCs available to owners of Season Pass or as separate buys. We are talking here about already announced story DLCs such as Night Springs and The Lake House. It is also possible that the plot featured in Alan Wake 2 will be referred to by new productions from Remedy Entertainment, e.g. Control 2.
