Complete the ritual in Collapsed Tunnel

The confrontation with Dark Presence takes place while playing as Alan Wake. This happens during Initiation 2 while visiting Metro region.

1. One of the locations in Metro is the Collapsed Tunnel. Initial visit to Collapsed Tunnel yields nothing. You must first explore the remaining areas of the Metro, unlocking new scenes and plot elements.

1. After entering the tunnel for the second time, activate the storyboard.
2. Select Collapsed Tunnel scene and Summoning Ritual plot element - you've unlocked it while exploring End of the Line scene.

Escaping Dark Presence and crossing Collapsed Tunnel

1. Correctly swapping plot elements will make tunnel lights turn red and a hostile Dark Presence will appear.

1. Fighting Dark Presence head-on is impossible, as at this point in the story, Alan doesn't have any means to defeat or even slow down the monster.
2. The only option is to escape. Run towards the subway car you were passing through earlier. You need to open the side door - quickly press the key or button visible on the screen (X on the PS controller, A on the Xbox controller).

1. After getting out of the car , run straight to the Break Room (screenshot). This is a safe area, because the Dark Spirit is vulnerable to light and cannot reach Alan there.

1. After the situation calms down, save your game and go to the Collapsed Tunnel again.
2. Run forward without stopping. You will reach the place where Alan will start crawling through the narrower part of the tunnel. You've managed to escape Dark Presence. The action is rewarded with a trophy - Storm Cloud.
