Does the so-called point of no return appear in Alan Wake 2? Our guide explains whether the game warns you to advance to the finale, how to prepare, and when finds and locations may no longer be available.

The presence of the point of no return may prevent you from completing exploration and collecting secrets in Alan Wake 2. As a result, this may prevent you from completing the game in 100 percent. This page of your guide contains a warning when a point of no return occurs and what actions to take before advancing to the final part of the story.

Advancing to the finale - Saga's story

In the case of Saga story - Return, you should expect the point of no return to be reached at the end of Return 6, before the official start of Return 7. You must first take care of 2 things that we described on separate pages of the guide.

1. Defeating the boss called Scratch - the fight in the police parking lot.
2. Coming up with a new plan - you must examine new objects in the police station's cell and add all the clues to the case board.

After meeting the above requirements, you can return to Agent Estevez from Tim Breaker's office. There should be a dialog option available to present the action plan (picture above).

1. You will receive an on-screen warning that you have reached the point of no return for Saga. We do not advise to ignore it, but to choose the Not yet option to prepare.
2. This is the last opportunity to collect all secrets and explore 100% of the locations on Cauldron Lake, Bright Falls and Watery maps. Try to collect and find all unique collectibles, such as: cult stashes , nursery rhymes, lunch boxes, inventory expansion or manuscript pages .
3. Create a separate manual save game file - you can use, among others: the thermos flask in the office where Estevez and Casey are. This will enable you to return to free map exploration if necessary (you will then need to repeat Return 7 and subsequent chapters).
