Problem with using the car and getting to Bright Falls

1. During your first visit to Cauldron Lake, you must examine the Murder Site. After completing the mission objectives, i.e. examining the bodies and other traces from the murder site, you will have to return by car to Bright Falls.
2. You can reach the Cauldron Lake car park by opening the 2 gates using the shortcut keys received from Deputy Thornton.

1. After reaching the parking lot, you may not be able to enter the car due to the lack of interaction options.

Check the traces on the Case Board

1. If this happens, check if you have filled in all the data on the board. If a clue is missing, you won't be able to return to Bright Falls.

1. Enter the Mind Place, go to the Profiling table and check if you have examined all the new traces associated with the corpse. Click on the photo of the dead Nightingale and select notes to initiate new scenes.

1. Now approach the Case Board and check its current state for the Murder at Cauldron Lake case.
2. Untransferred traces are at the bottom of the screen. You should choose them one by one and place them on the board. You can do this by trial and error, as every trace will only lock in the correct place.

1. You should use up all the traces and the sheets of paper on the board should change color from yellow to green (example in the picture). This will conclude the current part of the investigation.

1. Return to the parking lot - you should now be able to interact with the car and travel to Bright Falls.
