While exploring the Otherworld Hospital, you will have to take the elevator down to the basement. Your radio will then begin playing a game show about the history of Silent Hill town - called Trick or Treat. The puzzle is optional and requires very detailed exploration of the previous areas, but solving it will reward you with valuable items. On this guide page we have described what are the correct answers to the questions and how to open the decorative box.
Each puzzle in the game has three variants depending on the chosen level of puzzle difficulty. You choose it at the beginning of the game and you cannot change it later. The puzzle below was solved on the recommended, normal difficulty level.
Game show during the elevator ride
You'll hear about the game show after opening the chained chest and taking the elevator down to the basement of the Otherworld Hospital. Your radio starts receiving a game show transmission during which three questions will be asked, each with three answers. You have to remember the correct answers - you will say them just before leaving the hospital.
The first question is: How many residents of Silent Hill died of the plague in the nineteenth century? The answers are:
- 42,
- 67,
- 85.
The correct answer is 2 - 67 victims. You could have obtained this information from the monument commemorating the victims in Rosewater Park.
The second question is: What is the name of the street that leads out of town to the sawmill and cemetery? The answers are:
- Bachman Road,
- Munson Street,
- Wiltse Road.
The correct answer is 3 - Wiltse Road. You could have obtained this information by checking the map of eastern South Vale.
The third question is: What was the name of one of the victims of a brutal murder on the streets of the city a few years ago? The answers are:
- Miriam,
- Heather,
- Julia.
The correct answer is 1 - Miriam. You could have obtained this information by reading one of the newspapers in the Wood Side Apartments.
Once the game show is over, leave the elevator and continue through the hospital.
How to open the decorative box?
Some time later, after obtaining the two rings and just before escaping from the hospital, you can visit the pharmacy, where you will find a decorative box. Here you can enter answers to questions. So the code for the box is 231 (entered from the top). You only have one chance to open the box. If you succeed, it will open, and you will be able to take five shotgun shells and two syringes.
