Just before completing the Blue Creek Apartments, you'll arrive at the moth-filled apartment 202. Inside is the clock arm you need, but to get it you must solve a puzzle and discover the combination to the padlock. On this guide page we describe how to discover the code, get out of apartment 202 and get the second arm.
Each puzzle in the game has three variants depending on the chosen level of puzzle difficulty. You choose it at the beginning of the game and you cannot change it later. The puzzle below was solved on the recommended, normal difficulty level.
About the puzzle
The puzzle takes place in apartment 202. The room is full of moths, but for you, only the large, dead moths with which you can interact are important. There are symbols on their wings.
In the apartment you will find a door locked with a padlock, which you can open with a three-digit code. Next to the padlock are three mathematical equations written on the walls. Instead of numbers, however, there are symbols written on moth wings, i.e. circles, moons and skulls. To solve the puzzle, you therefore need to count the total number of symbols in the room and substitute them for the symbols in the equations, which will help you discover the correct code.
Where are the moths?
The first moth lies on the pedestal. There are two circles on it.
The second moth is lying on the armchair. There are two circles on it.
The third moth lies on the second pedestal. It has four moons.
In the frame on the wall there is one circle, two moons and one skull.
You can look at the second frame through the hole in the wall. At the beginning, it is obscured by a wardrobe. You need to find the cracked wall, destroy it to squeeze through to the next room and there move the wardrobe. In the frame there are two moons and one skull.
Moth puzzle code
In the entire room, there are a total of five circles, eight moons, and two skulls. Knowing this, you can now open the padlock. Decipher the code as follows:
- The first equation is moon - circle. 8 - 5 = 3. The first digit of the code is 3.
- The second equation is skull + circle. 2 + 5 = 7. The second digit of the code is 7.
- The third equation is circle - skull. 5 - 2 = 3. The third digit of the code is 3.
Enter the code 373 to open the door. In the next room you can examine the hole in the wall to get the seconds clock arm. You can use the clues to fix the clock and open the exit door to leave the apartments.
