Silent Hill 2 Remake is a linear game consisting of several areas, each of which takes place in a different location. You will always travel through these locations in the same order, and completing a location usually makes it inaccessible later. On this page of the guide we have listed all the chapters in the game and the areas in which they take place.

List of areas

  1. Eastern South Vale - the first location in the game is the foggy streets of Silent Hill. On this page we described how to get to the town, obtain a radio, your first weapon, fix a vinyl record and find the key to the Wood Side Apartments.
  2. Wood Side Apartments - the apartment building is characterized by dark, narrow corridors and small rooms. On this page, we described how to get a radio, a handgun, and three coins required to get out of the building.
  3. Blue Creek Apartments - a nightmarish version of the apartment building introduces new variations of already existing enemies. On this page we described how to find clock arms and survive the first encounter with the Pyramid Head.
  4. Western South Vale - a return to the foggy streets, not much combat but a lot of cut-scenes. On this page, we described how to get to Rosewater Park and escort Maria.
  5. Brookhaven Hospital - the largest and longest area in the game, full of difficult enemies and code-locked doors. On this page, we described how to restore power in the hospital, collect three bracelets, and defeat Flesh Lip.
  6. Brookhaven Hospital (Otherworld) - a twisted version of Brookhaven Hospital with a simpler structure but still featuring challenging enemies. On this page, we described how to open a box entangled in chains, obtain two rings, and escape from the Pyramid Head.
  7. Otherworld South Vale - a warped version of the streets of South Vale, containing no puzzles. On this page, we described how to get through the district, reach Rosewater Park, and pass through the historical society.
  8. Toluca prison - a large building divided into several sections, characterized by omnipresent darkness. On this page, we described how to get a rifle, how to open doors with animal symbols, and collect all the weights.
  9. Labyrinth - a surreal set of corridors containing plenty of combat. On this page we described how to defeat Abstract Daddy, complete all sections of the maze, and defeat Eddie.
  10. Lakeview Hotel - a large, abandoned hotel that focuses on exploration instead of combat. On this page we described where to find all three figurines for the music box, how to sneak through the employee area and reach room 312.
  11. Otherworld Hotel - burnt ruins of a hotel with no enemies or exploration, concluding the game's plot. On this page, we described how to get through the hotel ruins, how to defeat the Pyramid Heads, and the final boss.
