Outriders: User interface Outriders guide, walkthrough

Last update: 26 March 2021

This section of the Outriders game guide lists information about the user interface. Although the icon layout is quite clean, the meaning behind some of the symbols might be somewhat unclear, especially to a new player. This page of the Outriders game guide explains all of the UI components.

The radar displays enemy positions as red dots - Outriders: User interface - Appendix - Outriders Guide

1. Radar

The radar displays enemy positions as red dots. It scans the area directly in front of you, but it doesn't show any terrain elements.

2. Quests

The quests you have marked are displayed here. One of the ways to switch the active quest is through the map screen (M by default).

3. Health and shield bars

The health and shield bars are displayed here. You can restore your health through your class's passive skill, for example by eliminating enemies at short range. Certain active skills will provide you with a shield.

4. Skills

The skill bar can display a maximum of 3 abilities, but you can freely swap them in and out. Each class has 8 or 9 skills. A greyed out skill icon displays the cooldown time, indicating when the ability will be ready to use again.

5. Available weapons

Your weapons, along with the amount of ammo in your magazine, are displayed here. The weapon currently in use is indicated by a white corner. In Outriders, you can carry a total of 3 weapons: 2 standard ones (e.g. a shotgun or a sniper rifle) and a secondary weapon - a pistol.

6. Quest objective icon

The quest objective icons will give you a better idea of where to head next. Note that these icons correspond to the quest objectives on the left side of the screen.

7. Character level and world tier

The blue bar indicates your character's level and the progress towards the next level. The yellow bar represents the tier of your world - the current progress is also displayed. Each new world tier translates into more experience, stronger enemies and better rewards.
