Outriders: Technomacer - Premade character build Outriders guide, walkthrough
Last update: 16 April 2021
On this page of the Outriders game guide you will find a premade build for the Technomancer class. We suggest which subclass to choose, which traits to select in the class tree, which skills to use, which items to look for and which mods to prioritize.
The Technomancer in Outriders can be developed in many ways, but suggest the Pestilence subclass path. This progression path turns the Technomancer into a true damage machine thanks to an endless magazine reinforced with Blighted Rounds and with many ways to recover Health.
Class Tree: Pestilence
The Technomancer, like every class available in Outriders, has access to three unique subclasses that present completely different styles of gameplay. In this build we propose the Pestilence development path, which specialises in dealing tons of weapon damage and inflicting the Toxic status effect on opponents.
Suggested minor traits of the Pestilence subclass tree:
- Br/8 Impact Amplifier: Weapon Damage increased by 8%;

Skills
The Technomancer has 8 unique skills that can be unlocked at specific character levels. The set of skills we suggest synergises with the Pestilence subclass tree and allows you to deal massive damage in a very short amount of time while providing your character with some survivability when you find yourself in great danger.
Suggested skills for a Technomancer with the Pestilence subclass:
- Cold Snap: drop a gadget to Freeze all enemies around you. This skill works over a large radius and is very useful in highly dangerous situations when you are surrounded by enemies;
- Blighted Turret: place an automatic turret that deals damage and inflicts Toxic on targets hit;
- Blighted Rounds: fills the weapon's magazine with decay-infused bullets that inflict Toxic on enemies. Enemies near the target are also poisoned and take 50% damage.
You can find more information on the Technomancer's skills on the Technomancer - skills page.
Equipment and statistics
The main weapons to be used with the premade Technomancer build are assault weapons, specifically the Assault Riffle Tactical Var. This type of weapon has a default of 30 rounds in the magazine, a solid rate of fire, very high single bullet damage and good critical damage.
Recommended assault weapon stats:
- Crit Damage;
- Long Range Damage;
- Close Range Damage.
Recommended armor pieces stats:
- Bonus Firepower;
- Long Range Damage;
- Healing Receiver;
- Cooldown Reduction.
Mods
In Outriders, you can choose from a large variety of mods that will further adapt the characters to the right style of gameplay. In our premade build, we focused on both offensive and defensive mods that will increase the character's survivability.
Recommended weapon mods:
- Bone Shrapnel: killing an enemy with this weapon causes an explosion that deals damage and inflicts Bleed on enemies within a 5 meter radius;
- Killing Spree: killing shots increase weapon damage for 20 seconds. The effect stacks up to 3 times;
- Ruler of Leeches: killing an enemy with a weapon increases Weapon Leech for 20 seconds. A useful mod if you have trouble staying alive during the harder stages of the Expedition.
Recommended armor pieces mods:
- Dum-Dum Bullets: increases the damage of Assault weapons by 10%;
- Sharp Eye: killing enemies while aiming down sights increases weapon damage for 20 seconds. The effect can accumulate up to 5 times;
- Bloodlust: killing an enemy increases Firepower. The effect accumulates up to 3 times and deteriorates every 10 seconds;
- Emergency Stance: when a character's Health drops below 30%, they receive the Golem protective effect for 4 seconds (10 second cooldown);
- Mitigation from Death: killing an enemy while aiming down sights increases Armor for 10 seconds. The effect stacks up to 3 times;
- Critical Analysis: increases Critical Damage of Blighted Rounds by 15%;
- Toxic Lead: killing an enemy afflicted by Toxic by using a weapon restores 40% of the ammo in your magazine;
- Radical Therapy: enemies afflicted by Toxic take 15% more damage;
- Damage Absorber: increases Armor and Resistance;
- Spare Mag: the effect of the Blighted Rounds skill is active for 1 additional magazine before the cooldown begins. A useful mod if you have just started developing your Technomancer and occasionally one magazine isn't enough to eliminate a stronger opponent;
- Icicle Storm: killing enemies frozen by the Cold Snap skill causes an explosion that deals damage in a 5 meter radius.
General Advice
- Damage bonuses: each use of the skills Blighted Turret and Blighted Rounds increases weapon damage by up to 40% for 10 seconds. The cooldown of the Blighted Turret is short, so it's a good idea to use it constantly and increase your character's firepower;
- Toxicity: make sure that the Blighted Rounds skill is always active - this is the Technomancer's most important source of damage. As you progress through the subsequent sections of the instantiated maps, the skill effect is removed and must be refreshed;
- Ammunition: remember that killing enemies afflicted by Toxic restores ammo in the magazine. This is especially important when fighting a strong opponent who is flanked by many smaller creatures, which you can use to replenish your ammo supply;
- Aiming down sights: using aiming down sights in tandem with the suggested mods will increase your character's firepower;
- Survivability: the Technomancer has the most Health recovery potential of all the character classes available in Outriders , but at times this may not be enough to survive. When you're surrounded by droves of enemies and your character's health drops to a critical level, use the Cold Snap skill to catch your breath and lower the threat level.
