Outriders: Pyromancer - premade character build Outriders guide, walkthrough

Last update: 22 April 2021

This page of the Outriders guide presents a premade build for the Pyromancer class. We suggest which subclass to choose, which traits to select in the class tree, which skills to use, which items to look for and which mods to prioritize.

A Pyromancer in Outriders can be developed in many ways, but we suggest the Ash Breaker subclass path. Thanks to a limitless weapon magazine bolstered by Volcanic Missiles, this development path makes a Pyromancer an extremely effective damage dealer.

Skills

The Pyromancer has 8 unique skills that can be unlocked at specific character levels - Outriders: Pyromancer - premade character build - Pyromancer - Outriders Guide

The Pyromancer has 8 unique skills that can be unlocked at specific character levels. The set of skils we suggest synergises with the Ash Breaker subclass tree and allows you to deal massive damage in a very short time while providing your character with some survivability.

Suggested Pyromancer skills with the Ash Breaker subclass:

  1. Feed the Flames: select and pull an enemy towards you dealing damage, draining health and applying the Ash effect;
  2. Ash Blast: create an Anomaly blast to apply the Ash effect to all enemies in a large radius around you;
  3. Volcanic Rounds: fills the weapon's magazine with Anomaly-infused bullets that inflict Burn within a small radius and pierce targets, injuring enemies behind them.

You can find more information on all Pyromancy skills on the Pyromancer - skills page.

Equipment and statistics

The main weapon of the suggested Pyromancer build is the Assault Weapon. This type of weapon has a solid supply of rounds in the magazine, a solid rate of fire, very high single bullet damage and good critical damage.

Recommended assault weapon stats:

  1. Crit Damage;
  2. Skills Life Leech;
  3. Close Range Damage.

Recommended armor pieces stats:

  1. Bonus Firepower;
  2. Long Range Damage;
  3. Healing Receiver;
  4. Cooldown Reduction.

Mods

In Outriders, you can choose from a large variety of mods that will further adapt the characters to the right style of gameplay. In our premade build, we focused on both offensive and defensive mods that will increase the character's survivability.

Recommended weapon mods:

  1. Ultimate Ashen Bullets: weapon hits apply the Ash effect to the target. This is an essential mod, so you should get it as soon as possible, for example by buying The Wicker, a legendary weapon from Tiago;
  2. Perpetuum Mobile: killing an enemy with a weapon when there is 35% ammo or less in the magazine instantly replenishes the ammo;
  3. Anomaly Enhancement: firepower is increased by 30% of Anomaly Power;
  4. Gravedigger's Frenzy: Critical hits increase Critical Damage by 50% for 5 seconds. Recharge: 7 seconds;
  5. Bone Sharpnel: killing an enemy with a weapon causes an explosion that deals damage and inflicts Bleeding efect on enemies within a 5-meter radius;
  6. Ruler of Leeches: killing an enemy with a weapon increases Weapon Leech for 20 seconds. A useful mod if you have trouble staying alive during the harder stages of the Expedition.

Recommended armor pieces mods:

  1. Ash Cleaner: Critical hits deal bonus damage to enemies afflicted with Ash;
  2. Reforging Bullets: critical hits on enemies afflicted with Burn do not use ammo;
  3. Mitigation from Death: killing an enemy while aiming down sights increases Armor for 10 seconds. The effect stacks up to 3 times;
  4. Cristack: critical hits increase Firepower and Anomaly Power for 5 seconds. The effect stacks up to 5 times;
  5. Ashen Boost: increases the damage done to enemies with Ash effect by 20%;
  6. Bullet Absorption: renews 33% of ammo for each enemy affected by Feed the Flames;
  7. Wide Grip: Feed the Flames works on one additional target (Synergy with Bullet Absorption);
  8. Vein Ripper: critical hits apply Bleeding to the target;
  9. Vampire Mag: killing a Bleeding enemy with a weapon restores 50% ammo (synergy with Vein Ripper);
  10. Bullet Kindling: enemies with Burn effect take 20% more damage;
  11. Damage Absorber: increases Armor and Resistance;
  12. Emergency Stance: when a character's Health drops below 30%, they receive the Golem protective effect for 4 seconds (10 second cooldown);
  13. Bloodlust: killing an enemy increases Firepower. The effect stacks up to 3 times and deteriorates every 10 seconds.

General Advice

  1. Ammunition: remember that killing enemies afflicted by Bleed restores ammo in your magazine. This is especially important when fighting a strong opponent who is flanked by many smaller creatures, which you can use to replenish your ammo supply;
  2. Weapon reloading: when playing with this build, try not to reload your weapon because it will interrupt the Vulcanic Rounds skill. Skills and mods have been selected to ensure that rounds are being constantly restored;
  3. Weapons: look for assault weapons with the highest possible damage per bullet, not DPS (damage per second), like the Assault Riffle Tactical Var;
  4. Skills: Feed the Flames and Ash are useful in both assault and defense - by applying Ash to enemies around you, you gain some time to reposition yourself and restore missing Health.
