Outriders: Devastator - Premade character build Outriders guide, walkthrough

Last update: 16 April 2021

On this page of the Outriders game guide you will find a premade build for the Devastator class. We suggest which subclass to choose, which traits to select in the class tree, which skills to use, which items to look for and which mods to prioritize.

The Devastator in Outriders can be developed in many ways, but we suggest the Seismic Shifter subclass path. This development path turns the Devastator into an extremely durable character who can deal tremendous damage with their abilities.

Skills

The Devastator has 8 unique skills that can be unlocked at specific character levels - Outriders: Devastator - premade character build - Devastator - Outriders Guide

The Devastator has 8 unique skills that can be unlocked at specific character levels. The set of skills we suggest synergises with the Seismic Shifter subclass tree and allows you to deal substantial damage with your skills while providing your character with very high survivability.

Suggested skills for a Devastator with the Seismic Shifter subclass:

  1. Earthquake: you release a shockwave that deals damage and Interrupts enemy skill casts;
  2. Golem: you fortify yourself for 8 seconds, ignoring up to 65% of incoming damage;
  3. Impale: select a target to Interrupt their skills, inflict Bleed and deal damage. If the damage is lethal, the enemy will be impaled, creating a zone that provides a huge Health and Armor regeneration bonus to all all allies in range for 9 seconds.

You can find more information on the Devastator's skills on the Devastator - skills page.

Equipment and statistics

The main weapon to be used with the premade Devastator build is the Assault Weapon. This type of weapon has a good supply of rounds in the magazine, a solid rate of fire, very high single bullet damage and good critical damage.

Recommended assault weapon stats:

  1. Crit Damage;
  2. Status Power;
  3. Close Range Damage.

Recommended armor pieces stats:

  1. Anomaly Power
  2. Status Power;
  3. Cooldown Reduction;
  4. Skill Life Leech.

While choosing equipment for this Devastator build, consider selecting the Legendary Seismic Commander set, which makes enemies affected by Bleed receive up to 50% more damage.

Mods

In Outriders, you can choose from a large variety of mods that will further adapt the characters to the right style of gameplay. In our premade build, we focused mainly on offensive mods that increase the amount of basic skill charges and their damage.

Recommended weapon mods:

  1. Fortress: up to 43% more damage based on Armor value;
  2. Ultimate Storm Whip: weapon hits summon lightning bolts on the enemy that deal damage based on Anomaly Power;
  3. Ravenous Locust: shots create a swarm of locusts, dealing damage over 10 seconds and inflicting Weakness to enemies remaining within a 6-meter radius of the target;
  4. Anomaly Enhancement: firepower is increased by 30% of Anomaly Power.

Recommended armor pieces mods:

  1. Sharpened Spike: the Impale skill deals bonus damage;
  2. Second Quake: the Earthquake skill can be used one more time before it goes on cooldown;
  3. Rivers of Blood: enemies afflicted by Bleed take 50% more damage from the Impale skill;
  4. Tainted Blood: enemies afflicted by Bleed take 25% more damage;
  5. Palisade: the Impale skill can hit two additional targets;
  6. Anomaly Echo: when activated, the character gains additional Firepower and Anomaly Power for 15 seconds;
  7. Blood Shock: the Earthquake skill inflicts Bleed on all enemies hit;
  8. Extra Quake: the Earthquake ability can be used one more time before it goes into cooldown;
  9. Ground Crush: increases the base damage of the Earthquake skill;
  10. Impaler: the Impale skill can be used one more time before it goes on cooldown.

General Advice

  1. Earthquake: this is the main ability that does massive area damage and afflicts targets with Bleed (when the Blood Shock mod is in use), so it should be used every time goes off cooldown;
  2. Elite Opponents: when fighting tougher opponents, it's a good idea to first inflict the target with Bleed and then use the Impale skill to strip them of most of their health bar or even finish them off instantly;
  3. Melee attack: remember that the Devastator's basic melee attack afflicts targets with Bleed, which can be useful, for example, before using the Impale skill in fights against stronger opponents;
  4. Healing: the Devastator regains an additional 24% of its maximum Health for each close range kill, so you should stay as close to your targets as possible during combat.
