Partners | Connor | Detroit Become Human Walkthrough Detroit Become Human guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 July 2019
In this chapter of Detroit: Become Human we're back to Connor. Even if he died in chapter one - this chapter and the subsequent ones are a retrospect. From now on, you will start developing a relation with your partner - Hank. The kind of bond you are able to create has a huge impact on the ending. Don't worry, though, because there will be many occasions to mend any potential mistakes.
The bar
Go to the bar and scan the faces of the people sitting there - your target in the middle, at the bar. You can scan by holding R2 and pressing triangle. Start talking to Hank. The dialogues with this character and his ultimate opinion about you greatly influence the ending of the storyline. So, if you're aiming at a good ending, you should be unimposing, pleasant and exhibit human behavioral patterns. You'll be able to earn some points with Hank quickly if you buy him another drink (or lose them if you spill it) - it's also important for some additional scenes on the crime scene (read on).
The crime scene
Go now to the crime scene and agree to accompany him. There are many things in the home that you should investigate. The key evidence is already tagged by police with yellow numbers. You have to find 10 of these to be able to continue. These are (in the living room):
- TV shelf (drugs),
- The knife on the floor,
- Bloodstain on the floor,
- The corpse (you can only examine it after Hank is done doing that),
- The writing above the corpse.
As well as (not evidence, but counted as progress on the Diagram):
- Open the cabinet near the bed,
- Next to the cabinet, check the brochure on the table.
Now go to the kitchen and examine the following:
- 2x traces of blood on the frame,
- No knife on the kitchen handle (before testing the baseball stick),
- Baseball stick,
- Tilted chair,
- Doors in the courtyard,
- Figures in the bathroom.
Additionally (not related to the case):
- Newspaper on the kitchen worktop.
Report to Anderson
After collecting enough evidence, go to Hank and tell him what you think happened. If you make two mistakes in your report, the investigation will be aborted and you will badly damage your reputation with Hank and Amanda. The choices concerning establishing the turn of the events are as follows:
- The attack happened in the kitchen,
- The android was attacked with a baseball stick,
- The android attacked the attacker with a knife,
- The attacker escaped to the living room,
- Where he was killed with a knife.
Now you have to find the android. After talking to Hank, activate the detective mode and follow the trail towards the bathroom. In the corridor, you will see a trace of a ladder that was reclined on the wall. Examine the entrance to the attic, take a chair from the kitchen and get up. When the deviant is found (no choices or further dialogs are possible), you will complete the mission.
Endings
You have 5 minutes to complete this quest. If Hank is on your side, he'll give you additional 5 minutes (events marked on the Flowchart); if you've spilled a drink in his bar, he'll not agree on extended investigation (also visible on the Flowchart).
- Found a defect on the attic - collect all the clues and find the correct reconstruction of events, after which you'll have to access the attic. This will unlock an additional scene - Interrogation - that will influence Connor's fate.
- The investigation is fruitless - if you're unable to complete the report in time, or make a mistake in the event reconstruction.
