Crossroads - Markus | Detroit Become Human Walkthrough Detroit Become Human guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 July 2019
Markus' storyline from the Crossroads chapter in Detroit Become Human won't happen if he died during the Freedom March (defeated by the police, suicide or sacrifice). Here, the Flowchart shows only the part with North as the leader of the rebellion.
- Markus is alive - his future depends on reputation in Jericho.
- Connor didn't locate Jericho and Markus' reputation is low - the man gets exiled from the group.
- Connor found Jericho, Markus' reputation is low, Connor remained a machine - you can go back on the rooftop and continue his plot in the corridor where Markus will try to activate the explosive charges.
- Connor found Jericho, Markus' reputation is low, Connor became a deviant - here, Connor is the one who will deal with the explosives. Markus joins the group during the escape from the ship.
Markus sets the explosives
Positive reputation in Jericho - the scene opens with a discussion with Josh, North and, optionally, with Simon (if he is alive).
- Markus can end this chapter here if Connor didn't locate Jericho / was deactivated (he ended his storyline).
- Connor found Jericho - this is the moment where you will meet him. After that you can continue the plot.
This next scene is unusual - you first play as Markus who tries to convince Connor to become a deviant. However, the decision is made after you switch to Connor (him becoming a deviant depends on his software instability). If you failed at any point of the game (Markus has died), he will get replaced with North. The explosives are set by Connor who can do that in his storyline.
Go down the stairs. You come across police officers - you can attack them to save the androids but this can get Markus hurt. Markus can die here if he was wounded before. Shortly after that you meet another group of police officers: attack them or avoid but don't let the time to run out (Markus will receive damage / die).
The next scene is about Josh. Intervine and defeat the police officers to save him. The rest of the decisions lead to Josh's death by getting shot or his sacrifice for Markus. Failing the QTE sequence can lead to Josh's and Markus' death. There are four possible endings for the situation in the engine room:
- You are attacked by police officers - you failed the QTE sequence, Markus dies.
- You are attacked by police officers - you completed the QTE sequence, Markus can continue his storyline.
- You are attacked by Connor - Connor can attack Markus if he remained a machine. You must decide which one of them will survive - they can't both live, one of them must die. Markus must kill Connor in order to continue the storyline.
You can continue the episode by making Connor a deviant and by defeating police officers. Now, your decisions will determine whether Markus lives or not and how many of his closest allies escape from the ship. Markus can die if you exceed the time limit for making a decision or you fail a QTE sequence. You can save everyone by helping North after she falls down. Josh and Connor can also escape from the ship: Josh must survive up to this point while Connor must become a deviant and also reach this part of the chapter.
