Capitol Park | Marcus | Detroit Become Human Walkthrough Detroit Become Human guide, walkthrough
Last update: 02 July 2019
The chapter Capitol Park in Detroit: Become Human sees you decide upon the form of the android struggle. You can be aggressive and fight for freedom or choose a peaceful option. The scene contains a lot of events, the outcome of which influence your relationship with North.
Get Access to the Shop
You begin in an alley. The dumpster on your left contains a newspaper. When a police patrol approaches your position, follow North to a hiding place. If you won't do that, she will carry you by herself and you'll decrease your relations with North and Jericho. Follow North to the shop. You need to find a way to get access to its interior - you have 10 minutes.
Find the camera. The red line will lead you to an alarm panel behind the street. Jump into the hole and sway the androids to your side, then hack the alarm system. A police drone will appear. You have three seconds to decide:
- Hide - the action is successful, and improves your relations with North.
- Runaway/look - unsuccessful, lowers your relations with North, additional scene with a police patrol. You need to hide following their approach (every choice is viable, but not all options will have a positive effect on your relations with North): hide with North on the stop, escape (this ends the chapter!) or hack the radio.
If North haven't destroyed the droid (he had to locate you in the hole) you'll need to do this on your own. Locate it and analyze its route, then jump on it from the scaffolding. Destroying the drone improves your relations with North. If the QTE wasn't successful, you'll lose her trust (both options are found in the Flowchart).
Time to enter the shop. Begin with blocking the street. Travel to the end of the street which contains a truck and a sign to block the route. While inside the shop, approach each group of androids and free them. Look at North and the android she is looking at - you'll unlock additional dialogue options. Note - the mission can end once the police arrive - this can happen if you forget to turn the alarm off next to the shop and you break the door to the building.
Uprising
Now stand in the middle of the shop to begin your speech, then lead the people to the park. You are standing before an important moment in the plot. You'll have to decide for the uprising to be pacifistic or aggressive. The amount of the completed choices will affect if a police patrol appears on the scene. The nature of the uprising will be influenced by the public opinion, i.e. whether there are fights in town or attempts to negotiate.
This scene does not leave room for compromise - you are good or bad. The available actions (you won't be able to complete them all):
- Takeover other androids or free those behind storefronts on the other side of the street (recommended - improves your relations with North and respect in Jericho)
- Mark/destroy the benches in the park
- Mark/destroy the bus stops
- Mark/destroy the monument in the park
- Hang the flag/destroy the arbor
- Hack street lamps/turn them off
- Disable/destroy the billboards
- Disable parking machines (next to the cars)
- Hang a banner on the wall of the building (behind the street)
- Hack / destroy "the android stop" (similar to a bus stop, next to the entrance to CyberLife shop),
- Mark / break windows in the shop next to the CyberLife shop (you can interact only with some of them),
- Move the cars on the street / roll them over,
North tells you that you can burn the cars that were rolled over with Molotov cocktails. You can refuse. You don't have to throw them at cars - turn around and destroy something else. Here are your options:
- Burn the cafe,
- Burn the trash bin,
- Burn the CyberLife shop,
- Burn the hotel.
If you performed a lot of actions, a police force will appear, and you can decide what to do about people who shot friendly androids (negative actions strongly influence the public opinion)
- Let the others decide,
- Kill the police officers,
- Spare the police officers.
This scene happens always, regardless of how the protest went (unless you didn't do ANYTHING after saving the androids from the shop).
Endings
The Capitol Park chapter has a few endings. The ones below happen before you free the androids from the CyberLife shop:
- You ran out of time before you got into the shop - the chapter can end if you don't reach the shop in 10 minutes.
- Choice: escape - this ending can happen if you weren't detected by a police drone during the process of turning the alarm off, when you fail a QTE sequence during the part where you jump on the said drone (when it flies around the park) - North destroys the drone which causes the police to arrive. After that you can decide to end this chapter.
- Forced to escape - you have entered the CyberLife shop without turning the alarm off. After that you will have to escape (you won't free the androids).
Here are the endings that can happen when you enter the CyberLife building without raising the alarm:
- Markus didn't deliver his message - stand still for a few minutes after saving the androids.
- The protest was peaceful - peaceful actions (at least 60%) lead to the ending that is more to the public opinion's liking.
- The protest was aggressive - cause destruction and show aggressive behavior (at least 60%).
