How to prevent the death of Connor in Detroit Become Human? Detroit Become Human guide, walkthrough
Last update: 06 July 2018
Connor is an unusual hero. It can die in many chapters in many different ways. Interestingly, he doesn't end the storyline in this case. At the next stage, it appears "new Connor" - an android copy. However, it only has a small effect on the plot and a big effect on Hank. RK800 doesn't remember everything and doesn't have all the information, which may prevent the unlocking of some elements in the Flowchart.
- The Hostage
- The Interrogation
- Fugitives
- The Nest
- The Bridge
- Public Enemy
- Last chance, Connor
- Crossroads
- Battle for Detroit
The Hostage
Connor may die in the first chapter: The hostage. It will happen if:
- Try to intimidate defect with weapon,
- If the negotiations fail (if you don't achieve at least 50-60% chance of success in negotiating on the interface),
- If the negotiations fail, and Connor decides to save Emma,
- If Connor chooses the 'Sacrifice-self' dialogue option.
So there are available two positive end options:
- Get 90-100% chance of successful negotiation and lie defect so that he finally free the girl and that he would be shot by snipers.
- After getting a policeman's weapon from the apartment, decide to shoot the defect.
The Interrogation
If Connor managed to find a defect in the Partners chapter, the next scene is the questioning. If you have failed to win the trust of the android during the interrogation and you have scared him, if you have intervened while Chris is pressing the defect or if the android has started auto-destructing mode, you will die.
Fugitives
If Kara is found by Connor in the building or doesn't escape the police officers patrolling the street, the chase will begin. During the chase, reach the fence and get Connor through it to the highway. If you fail in QTE, Connor will die.
The Nest
In The Nest chapter, if Connor doesn't jump over the roof over the chasm (very easy QTE, you would have to let Connor fall especially to make it fail), Connor will die.
The Bridge
In the Bridge chapter, Connor can die shot by Hank. This chapter has only these two endings: Connor lives or dies. In order not to die you have to fulfill only one condition: to have at least neutral relations with Hank. Note, however, that if they were neutral at the start of the scene, they could be corrected, but also degraded in dialogues. All you need to do is choose dialogue options that clearly indicate that the android feels human emotions and feelings - it will satisfy Hank.
Public Enemy
If you decide to find a defect that helped put Marcus and his team in the building, look for him in the kitchen. However, this way is easy to bring Marcus to death in several ways.
- Marcus will die if he doesn't pull the knife out of his left hand after being pinned by a defect.
- Marcus will die if he will rescue Hank during shooting with the defect in the corridor.
Last chance, Connor
In the chapter Last chance, Connor, the hero can die when Chris gets angry on his way to the archive (Connor mustn't know Jericho's location: he knows it when in the task Meeting with Kamski he kills Chloe and asks Kamski about Jericho). Then, when the search for evidence is over, Gavin enters the archives and starts fighting Connor - if Connor fails it (QTE), he dies.
The second option is to have no evidence (no android died [except for the defect from the first chapter of The Hostage]) that would allow you to find Jericho or if you don't go to the archive in about 5 minutes. In this way Connor's death takes place in CyberLife and this is the end of Connor's story. This makes it impossible to get the trophy I'll be back.
Crossroads
This is the penultimate chapter in which Connor can die if he has not finished his story in the Last chance, Connor chapter. In none of these cases he doesn't end up his story. If you want to prevent the death of Connor, it is best if he becomes a defect. If not:
- Connor dies, shot by a soldier at the beginning of a chapter, if he starts the escape or attacks a soldier and fails,
- He may die in the fight against Markus - you will choose which one will survive (the duel won't take place if Markus is already dead),
- If Markus is dead, Connor will come across Josh - because of him he will later come across a soldier who will shoot Connor.
- Connor can be killed by a soldier while trying to blow up the ship,
- At the end of the chapter, Connor (as a defect) can also die when trying to help Markus after the ship has been mined, or if he doesn't join his companions on time.
Battle for Detroit
If Connor hasn't become a defect, you will see him on the roof with the sniper rifle. There he will meet policemen who will fight him - if you lose, you will die. No attempt at negotiation leads to a positive outcome - if you don't want to die, simply fight and win. Optionally give up, but only if there is a Hank nearby.
If Connor is a defect, he can die in a failed attempt to escape from the CyberLife Tower shot by the safeguard or later if he fails to "awake" the androids found there.
