How to prevent Marcus' death in Detroit Become Human? Detroit Become Human guide, walkthrough
Last update: 06 July 2018
Marcus is the main character whose actions shape the background of Detroit: Become Human, which is supposed to save androids from oppression (called as rA9 in the game). For this reason, it's impossible to finish his story in the early phases of the game, just as the death of the hero would be illogical.
The March of Freedom
The first moment when Marcus can die is the chapter March of freedom, which is also the last independent chapter of Marcus. The hero will die if:
- Public opinion is unfavorable,
- When the police arrive and Marcus will start the attack,
- When the police arrive and Marcus won't give up his place.
So if you didn't manage to satisfy people with your demands, the only option would be to retreat if you don't want to bring Marcus to death. Spoiler: after Marcus' death, the battle is continued, but North is at the forefront of the androids.
Crossroads
In the chapter Crossroads, if Markus successfully completed the first stages and was not rejected from Jericho, he could die in the following situations:
- Failing QTE in the fight against soldiers,
- Taking the wrong escape route through the corridors,
- If the time to make a decision when crossing the corridors is over,
- In addition: if he encounters Connor - machine, when trying to set a bomb,
- And also: when escaping from the ship, if Marcus decides to buy time for companions to escape.
Battle for Detroit
Depending on whether you have carried out peacekeeping or aggressive actions, Markus can die in many situations. In case of a peaceful demonstration, this will happen if Markus fails the battle (QTE) or comes to an agreement with Perkins. In addition, at the very end of the chapter, his fate can be determined by public opinion, if he chooses the option of singing / kissing North when detained by soldiers. If public opinion is low, Markus will die.
If you have led an aggressive revolution, you may die after too many wounds have been dealt, and neither Simon nor North can save Markus. At a later stage, death will occur if you fail the battle (QTE), and in any other case if you don't have a North's detonator from the Crossroads chapter - then this is the only option to rescue Markus pinned to the wall.
